Answer: Rio de Janeiro

Heading out from their tenth Pit Stop at a Swiss lodge in the city of Zermatt, teams were told to make their way by train to the airport in Zurich to catch a flight thousands of miles to the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. All four teams arrived in this South American city in the morning and needed to take a taxi to a tram station.

Here, taking a tram to Santa Teresa, teams found their next task at Escadaria Selarón, a staircase covered in large, coloured tiles. Each team needed to locate one tile with their Route Info logo depicted on the front, and their clue would be on the back.

Continuing from Escadaria Selarón, teams needed to take a taxi to Largo de Săo Francisco de Paula. Here, one member of each team needed to complete a Road Block in which they dressed in ceremonial garb and learned samba dance steps. Then, once they got the hang of the movements, they had to lead a group around the square and receive the approval of a judge to receive their next clue.

This task was completed by Zev, Kisha, Mallory, and Big Easy, all of whom were required to do so as per the race rules (as all racers needed to have five Road Blocks completed by the final leg).

After this, teams were told to take a taxi to the Copacabana.

Arriving at a building at the Copacabana, teams were required to find a clue box at a waxing studio inside. Here, both members were required to participate in a fifteen minute Brazilian waxing session before they could continue on with their next clue.

This proved to be a more harrowing ordeal for Zev and Justin, both of whom were hairier than most. Justin, in particular, asked if punching out the attendant would result in a time penalty. After this task, teams were asked to choose one of two Detour choices on Copacabana Beach.

Answer: 'On the Rocks'

In this Detour task, teams were told to choose either 'On the Rocks' or 'On the Beach'. In 'On the Rock', which was chosen by all four teams, they had to head to a beach-side bar and properly create one hundred mixed drinks known as Caipirinhas. If any of these were incorrectly made, they would be thrown out.

In 'On the Beach', teams needed to take an umbrella, portable changing room, and several bikinis, and sell enough to beach-goers to accumulate sixty reals. They also had to have their customers model the outfit.

Although Zev and Justin attempted this task, they switched soon after.

After their Detour task, teams were told to make their way to their final Pit Stop located on the beach beneath the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum. Gary and Mallory were the first to hit the mat and they ended up winning a Mediterranean cruise vacation courtesy of Travelocity.

This was their third win of the race (their second on a beach). In the end it was Zev and Justin, this race's most victorious team (with four first place victories), who were the last to arrive having stumbled at the Road Block and Detour tasks.

They became the eighth and final eliminated team.

Answer: Miami

In this final leg of the race, teams departed from the Pit Stop under the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum and were told to head to the airport to catch the quickest flight to Miami, Florida, the final destination of their race. All three teams took the first flight getting them into the States the following morning. Upon their arrival, teams were required to take taxis to their next destination: Rickenbacker Marina, where their next clue box would be waiting.

Answer: Forklift

Arriving at the Rickenbacker Marina, teams found a Road Block task (completed by Kisha, Flight Time and Gary) requiring the selected member to make their way to one of the nearby forklifts and use it to lift a boat onto a dry dock platform. If their boat was improperly placed, they would need to try again until it rested properly on the top rack. Once they finished this, teams needed to take their taxi to the next destination on their path to the finish: Jules' Undersea Lodge in Key Largo.

Arriving at Jules' Undersea Lodge, teams completed a second Road Block task; this one required the team member who did not complete the previous Road Block to try their hand at this one. In this case, Jen, Big Easy and Mallory all needed to use submersible devices and scuba helmets to search a mermaid-filled lagoon for a treasure chest (amongst dozens) containing their next clue. Once they received this, they needed to find the next clue box at U.S. 1's Mile Marker 29 at Big Pine Key, then walk across a shallow section of water to Horseshoe Island where the next route marker would be under the island's tallest tree.

After reaching Horseshoe Island, teams needed to take powerboats to Galway Bay Mobile Home Park in Marathon, Florida where they would need to complete a task involving the set-up of a mobile home. Once they moved their home to the proper lot, they would need to assemble everything inside as per a flyer given in their clue.

Despite the wind, many teams had problems figuring out that their table needed to be set up with all items as well. Once their mobile home was acceptable, they would receive their next clue from a local resident (referred to as Miss Rose). Continuing on, they needed to make their way by taxi to Old Seven Mile Bridge.

Answer: Kisha and Jen

At Old Seven Mile Bridge, teams needed to hop on large tricycles and battle the wind as they pedaled their way to the race's finish line at Pigeon Key. In the end, it was Kisha and Jen who arrived on the final platform in first place winning the million dollar prize and becoming the second all-female team to win the race (at least the U.S. version). Surprisingly, Kisha and Jen had won none of the previous legs of the race; they had only won one close leg in their previous season (in China). They were followed soon after by Flight Time and Big Easy in second and Gary and Mallory in third place.
