In the beginning of the episode, Jerry and Elaine are talking about Elaine's friend, Noreen, and how she was flirting with Jerry. Elaine says that it's weird since she has a boyfriend already. Then Kramer comes in and checks Jerry's mail for his Fortune magazine.

While rooting through the mail, he finds a greeting card for Jerry, and it turns out to be from a woman at PBS who is thanking Jerry for appearing on the pledge drive which is about to happen.

When Elaine calls Noreen to ask if she likes Jerry, she talks to Dan. Elaine ends up asking Dan if he likes Jerry because Dan is a high-talker and she can't tell that it isn't Noreen. Later, Noreen calls Elaine at Mr. Pitt's office and they argue over the phone.

Later, when Jerry and George are having lunch, Jerry asks George if one of the Yankees would like to be in the pledge drive with him, and George decides to check it out.

Meanwhile, George pursues a man who he thinks gave him the middle finger while driving Danny Tartabull to the PBS pledge drive.

Uncle Leo ends up coming out and ruining everything because Nana is on a very fixed income. George and Danny Tartabull don't make it to the pledge drive because George chases the man who gave him the finger about a mile out of Manhattan only to realize that the man's hand was in a cast, and it wasn't his fault. In the end, Jerry and Elaine are at Monk's and everyone is eating weird things with their utensils. Jerry even saw one person eating M&Ms with a spoon.
