Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Lt. Worf
Answer: prune juice
In the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "Yesterday's Enterprise", Worf sat alone in Ten Forward when Guinan brings him a drink. Worf asks Guinan what it is and she says to just drink it. When he takes his first swallow, his eyes open wide and Guinan tells him that it's a human drink called prune juice. Worf describes it as 'warrior's drink' and then starts drinking it all the time.
2. Charles "Trip" Tucker III
Answer: fried catfish
On "Star Trek: Enterprise", Trip is always comparing alien cuisine to his favorite dish of fried catfish. On one episode, Captain Archer told the chef to make everyone's favorite food for dinner. Since the chef didn't have any catfish, he substituted it with Edosian suckerfish.
3. Deanna Troi
Answer: chocolate
On "Star Trek: The Next Generation", chocolate has always been Deanna's guilty pleasure. She eats it when she's happy and especially if she's depressed. Though she eats the replicator's reproduction of her favorite treat, she longs for the real thing. She likes telling her crewmates about the exotic chocolate dishes she's had on different planets.
4. Jean-Luc Picard
Answer: Earl Gray tea
On "Star Trek: The Next Generation", Picard always asks the replicator in his ready room for tea, Earl Gray, hot. It's so well known that it is his favorite drink, even the Klingons know to serve it to him without even asking.
5. Commander William Riker
Answer: playing the trombone
On "Star Trek: The Next Generation", Will likes jazz music and has a trombone standing in the corner in his quarters. In one episode, he is sitting in with a hollow deck program jazz band and when he was finished, one of the band members told him not to quit his day job. Will hits quite a few sour notes when playing certain songs.
6. Neelix
Answer: cooking
Aboard the star ship Voyager, Neelix serves as a chef and special consultant for the Delta Quadrant. Any time there is an away mission to a planet, Neelix likes to go to see if he can pick up new fruits, vegetables, or spices for cooking. His experience as a trader gives him a little more knowledge of the Delta Quadrant than the rest of the crew.
7. Lieutenant Malcolm Reed
Answer: pineapple cake
On one episode of "Star Trek: Enterprise" it was Malcolm's birthday and Hoshi wanted to surprise him with his favorite food. She secretly tried her best but couldn't get it out of him. With the help of Dr. Phlox, she discovered that Malcolm was taking a chemical that kept him from having an allergic reaction to tropical fruits. That's when she figured out that Malcolm liked pineapple or else he wouldn't be taking the medicine. Turns out that she was correct and Malcolm was happy with the cake stated that it was his favorite.
8. Guinan
Answer: listening
On "Star Trek: The Next Generation", Guinan is in charge of Ten Forward, a place where the crew can relax and have a drink. She listens in on some of the crew's conversations from time to time and gives sound advice when needed. She says she comes from a race of listeners. She is one of Picard's most trusted friends crew members.
9. Dr. Phlox
Answer: small living creatures.
On "Star Trek: Enterprise", just about every time someone goes to sick bay, you see Dr. Phlox feeding the critters he has in his aquariums. Even when the crew has to be evacuated to other parts of the ship for safety reasons, Phlox always gets permission to take some of his critters with him. He uses some of the critters for medicinal purposes in treatments for some ailments.
10. Emergency Medical Hologram Doctor.
Answer: singing
On "Star Trek: Voyager", the Emergency Medical Hologram Doctor, or (EMH), doesn't have a name. They just refer to him as doctor. He found that he has a talent for singing and sometimes sings while he works. One planet found his singing so appealing that they wanted him to leave the ship and stay with them.
The Dr. was considering it until the people of the planet made their own holographic copy of him to fill their needs.
