"Walking Dead" Season 1 Trivia Quiz

Rick is a police officer who responds to a pursuit with his partner Shane. The car is disabled by a spike strip and two suspects emerge. Rick gets shot in the chest and the two gunmen are taken out. Luckily, Rick was wearing a bullet proof vest. He believes it is over until a third suspect crawls out of the car and shoots Rick in the side. Rick slips into a coma, when he wakes up he sees that the world has changed and the dead walk.

Rick believes his wife, Lori, and son, Carl, are still alive. He meets a man named Morgan who tells him that there is a safe place in Atlanta. Morgan tells Rick that he will follow Rick to the city after he teaches his son how to shoot a gun. He heads for Atlanta in hopes that he will find his family.

Glenn suggests that Rick run for it while the walkers are devouring the horse that Rick rode into town. Rick follows Glenn to a department store where he meets some survivors who have a settlement outside of town. One of the female survivors, Andrea, takes a mermaid necklace for her sister who is back at the camp.

Merle insults T-Dog and they begin to argue. Rick intervenes and handcuffs Merle. Rick gives T-Dog the key to the cuffs. T-Dog drops the key in a pipe when he goes to release Merle. Merle is left handcuffed to the roof of the department store.

Rick dropped a bag of guns and a walkie-talkie, used to contact Morgan, and insists on going into the city to retrieve them. Rick wants to warn Morgan away from the city. Daryl is Merle's brother so naturally he wants to go back for him. T-Dog feels guilty for dropping the key even though he thinks that Merle deserves what he gets. Glenn is just good at getting around in the city.

Shane warns Ed that if he hurts another member of the group he will kill him. Shane is already upset about Rick's return. He is relieved that his friend is alive, but Shane had grown close to Lori and Carl in Rick's absence. When Rick returned, Lori told Shane to stay away from her family. Shane had told Lori that Rick was dead.

A young boy, Miguel, approaches Daryl and he turns to defend himself. Two more people, Jorge and Felipe, jump Glenn. Jorge and Felipe drive off with Glenn, they leave Miguel. The group goes after Glenn with the help of Miguel. They uncover a group of men who stayed in the city to protect a group of elderly people that were abandoned.

Merle cut off his hand in order to free himself from the handcuffs. Earlier in the day, Jim had a breakdown and started digging holes in the ground. He told Shane that he had a dream but he could not remember why he started digging the holes. Amy is bitten on the eve of her birthday, Andrea had planned to give her the mermaid necklace that she had taken from the store.

Andrea puts the necklace on Amy which was killed by the walkers. Amy turns into a walker and Andrea has to shoot her in the head. They group burns the walkers that they killed, but they decide to bury the people that they lost. The group decides to follow Rick to the CDC.

On the way to the CDC, Jim learns that he is turning into a walker and asks the group to leave him behind on the road. They give Jim a pistol so that he can protect himself or end his life. Dr. Jenner tells the group that the virus reanimates a corpse's brainstem, but the human mind is dead.

The scientists learn this by studying an infected test subject 19, Dr. Jenner's wife. The scientists fled or committed suicide, but Dr. Jenner stayed behind hoping that he could find a cure. Andrea wants to stay behind with Jacqui, but when Dale insists on staying with her, she leaves with the others.
