Answer: Nina Myers

Nina Myers, played by Sarah Clarke, appeared in the first season as one of Jack's closest friends and allies. But, we find out that Nina is working for terrorists, and she ends up shooting and killing Jack's wife Teri. Nina returned for seasons two and three before Jack finally decided she wasn't a help to them anymore and he killed her. Sarah Clarke married Xander Berkeley (who played George Mason) in 2002.

Answer: Kate Warner

Kate Warner is introduced to us in season two and is the sister to Marie Warner who is going to marry Reza Naiyeer. Then, Kate finds out Reza has ties to terrorists and Marie becomes furious with her. Kate is kidnapped, and Jack saves her, only to ask for her help again. We soon learn Marie is a terrorist and is helping release the nuclear bomb. Kate is sad, but she continues to work with Jack until the end.

They seemed attracted in season two, and between seasons they dated. But, by the time season three had started they had broken up. We never see Kate again. Sarah Wynter (Kate) in real life had a grandmother named Joy Cummings that was Australia's first female mayor!

Answer: Teri Bauer

Teri Bauer was Jack Bauer's wife in season one who ends up getting kidnapped, along with Kim, after she tries to find Kim. Jack later saves them but then they are nearly re-captured after they are taken to a safehouse. Teri is later saved and tells Jack that she is pregnant. Episodes later, Nina kills Teri after Nina is revealed to be evil.

In Teri's honor, the last ticks of the clock are muted at the end of the episode which is called a silent clock. Leslie Hope, after being Teri Bauer, now ironically is on the show "Commander in Chief." Donald Sutherland stars on the show and he is Kiefer Sutherland's (Jack Bauer) father.

Answer: Chloe O'Brian

Chloe O'Brian is first introduced to us in season three as the computer geek whom no one understands. She is always ready to state the obvious and sometimes seems to make things worse when she's really trying to help. Chloe seems ready to chew your head off sometimes, but she is very loyal to Jack and provides a comic relief to the show.

In season five when Edgar Stiles is killed, Chloe actually shows some deep emotional sadness that helps her character develop further. Mary Lynn Rajskub portrays Chloe and signed up to be a main character for season six.

Answer: Kim Bauer

Kim Bauer is Jack Bauer's daughter and the only person he has left after Teri is murdered. Before her murder, they were very close, and by season two Kim kept away from her dad because he reminded her too much of Teri. Only after she believed that her dad died in a nuclear explosion do the two start over again.

In season three they seem to be getting along much better, but Jack keeps trying to control her life, especially when she tells him about her and Chase Edmunds dating. Then, when Jack fakes his own death, he doesn't tell her which makes her becomes angry with Jack all over again. Elisha Cuthbert (Kim) grew up in Montreal, Canada and left at seventeen to pursue an acting career.

She set up a six week deadline to find a part in a show or movie, and was offered the role of Kimberly Bauer the fifth week.

Answer: Lynne Kresge

Lynne Kresge is David Palmer's personal secretary in season two and he consults her for many things. She is the only one who sees through Sherry Palmer and does not trust her. She is finally proven right after Sherry turns out to be helping terrorists.

Then, because of her loyalty to David, Mike Novick locks her up in a room when they prepare to invoke the 25th amendment. She escapes, but falls down a flight of steps and almost dies. She tries to warn David but is too weak. Michelle Forbes portrays Lynne, and Forbes has appeared in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine."

Answer: Erin Driscoll

Alberta Watson portrayed Erin Driscoll in season four as the womanized Ryan Chappelle: annoying, controlling, and just plain mean. She does not like Jack at all, and fired him because of his heroin addiction. By episode four of season four, she decides to help Jack and becomes a little more likeable. We are also introduced to her schizophrenic daughter, Maya, who Erin is constantly trying to take care of until Maya commits suicide. Erin becomes very upset and has to be replaced in the middle of the season by Tony Almeida. Alberta Watson was originally going to play the part of Alberta Green in season one, who tries to take over C.T.U.

They therefore named the character after Alberta Watson.

Answer: Dina Araz

Dina Araz is introduced to us in season four as the wife of Navi and the mother of Behrooz, all of whom are terrorists. When Behrooz's girlfriend follows him to where they have kidnapped the Secretary of Defense and his daughter, they order Behrooz to kill her.

But he can't do it, so Dina kills her. Then, Navi wants Behrooz killed, so Dina rebels. She and Behrooz escape, but she is shot in the arm. Jack finds her and she promises to help as long as Behrooz is protected. Later she is told to kill Jack but doesn't because of her son. Terrorists then kill her. Dina is played by Shohreh Aghdashloo who was originally born in Iran.

She did movies there and received nationwide stardom. Then, she came here to pursue her acting career further.

Answer: Karen Hayes

Jayne Atkinson plays the condescending and controlling Karen Hayes, who is the head of Homeland Security in season five. After the nerve gas hits C.T.U., she comes in and tries to take control of the place and treats everyone there like they are dirt.

She works against Bill Buchanan, Audrey Raines, Chloe O'Brian, and Jack Bauer until she realizes that President Charles Logan is evil. She works together with them until the end and we soon see that Karen seems very attracted to Bill. He asks her out in the finale, and she accepts. Jayne Atkinson has appeared on "Law and Order" and was in the movie "The Village."

Answer: Sherry Palmer

Penny Johnson Jerald brilliantly portrayed the villainous Sherry Palmer for the first three seasons. She was married to Senator David Palmer in the first season, but she lies and betrays him so he divorces her. In season two, for revenge against David, Sherry is involved with the nuclear bomb and almost gets killed by the evil Peter Kingsley.

In season three David is being blackmailed, and he asks her for help. She ends up being partly responsible for Alan Milliken's murder and winds up killed herself. Penny Johnson Jerald has guest starred on many different television shows including "Frasier" and an uncredited cameo as a nurse in an episode of "The Cosby Show."

Answer: Michelle Dessler

Michelle Dessler is portrayed by the beautiful Reiko Aylesworth who appears from season two to season five. Michelle is first seen in season two, as the curly brunette who falls in love with Tony Almeida and vice versa. In season three the two are married but Michelle almost gets infected by the Cordella virus and is then captured by Stephen Saunders. Tony saves her but breaks the law in the process and goes to jail. Michellle ends up leaving him, and trying a relationship with Bill Buchanan.

But she is still in love with Tony and they back together. In the first episode of season five, Michelle is killed by a car bomb. Reiko Aylesworth originally tried out for the part of Nina Myers but lost to Sarah Clarke. The writers liked her though, so called her back to be Michelle Dessler in season two.

Answer: Jamey Farrell

Karina Arroyave plays Jamey Farrell, a computer specialist for C.T.U. in season one. Both Jack Bauer and his friend Richard Walsh trust her but they turn out to be wrong. We soon learn that Jamey is a mole and gave the villain Ira Gaines information about the kidnapping of Kim and Teri Bauer. Nina Myers and Tony Almeida find out and try to get information out of her.

She demands immunity, but Nina threatens to bring her boy in. Later they think Jamey committed suicide but it turns out Nina killed Jamey (who turned out to be a mole as well). Karina Arroyave (Jamey) has appeared in many other television shows including "Without A Trace" and "NYPD Blue."

Answer: Audrey Raines

Audrey Raines' dad is Secretary of Defense James Heller, who Jack Bauer just happens to be working for in the start of season four. Audrey was separated from her husband Paul Raines at the time she and Jack had an affair. Throughout season four Audrey was kidnapped and Jack ended up killing her husband, Paul.

Then, she thought that Jack was dead when he faked his own death. But in the start of season five, Audrey was a stronger woman who was not as emotional as she used to be and she and Jack developed an even stronger relationship when he "came back from the dead." Kim Raver plays Audrey, and she has become one of my favorite characters. Kim Raver appeared as Kim on "Sesame Street" from 1975-1978 which I thought was pretty neat.

Answer: Anne Packard

Anne Packard was first introduced to us in season three as David Palmer's doctor and girlfriend. She and David cared about each other a lot but Wayne Palmer (David's brother) didn't like Anne. He thought she was a distraction to David and that she wasn't good enough for David. Soon we learn that Ted Packard (Anne's ex-husband) is blackmailing David, but David doesn't give into it. David Palmer's opponent, John Keeler, said she committed perjury on a national televised debate! Ted Packard called Anne to his apartment and committed suicide in front of her.

She broke up with David, telling him that he deserved a woman with more guts. The talented Wendy Crewson, who plays Anne, has also appeared in "The Santa Clause" movies with Tim Allen.

Answer: Martha Logan

The talented Jean Smart portrays Martha Logan in season five and was nominated to receive an Emmy for her role. Martha Logan is the wife of Charles Logan, the President, in season five. No one takes her seriously and everyone thinks she's loony. In reality, she has low mental stability but she is still sane.

When her husband tells her that he is behind David Palmer's murder she freaks out and was going to let him get away with it. But then, she saves Aaron Pierce's life and there is revealed chemistry between them.

They gain the help of Mike Novick and the three help Jack bring Charles Logan to justice. Jean Smart appeared in many movies including one of my favorites, "Bringing Down the House," and in the television show "Designing Women."
