Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Nurse
Answer: Thanatophobia
The Nurse, whose specialty is blinking across the map, is a Killer who benefits from slowing down the Survivors in some way (mainly because her base speed is one of the slowest amongst Killers. To do this, Thanatophobia is useful. When used, this Perk activates upon hitting a Survivor and it applies to all of them, inflicting a status effect that makes all skill checks more difficult and, thus, slowing down generators, healing skills, and more and insisting on fully-healed players. Coupled with A Nurse's Calling, another clever Nurse Perk, this can be severely hampering.
2. The Cannibal
Answer: Barbecue & Chilli
This Perk is one of the most consistent in meta builds because it gives heightened awareness to a Killer moreso than, perhaps, any other Perk in the game. When the Killer hooks any Survivor, the Perk allows them to see all others on the map, provided their aura is visible, if they're outside the hook's radius.
This means that in order to hide from the Killer, the Survivor needs to hide in a locker, close to the Killer and hook, or with a Perk that blocks BBQ.
3. The Pig
Answer: Make Your Choice
Make Your Choice leans heavily into the game being played in the "Saw Chapter" DLC from which the Pig was brought in. With Make Your Choice, anyone who pulls a Survivor off the hook becomes Exposed, leading them to potentially be one-shot by the Killer. Since the Pig has the ability to move stealthily, burst-attacking at the right time, and placing traps on peoples' heads when they're downed, it provides an extra layer of strife for Survivors just looking to stay in the game.
4. The Spirit
Answer: Hex: Haunted Ground
While much of the Spirit's activities involve revenge (through, say, the Spirit Fury and the Rancor Perks), her Haunted Ground Hex is a gamble. With this Perk, two Hex Totems are lit on the map, and there's a 50/50 chance that the one being destroyed is actually inert. If destroyed, that one will just give the Survivor points.
The other one, however, will make everyone Exposed for a certain length of time. This is often leads to the Perk being used with other Hex Perks, just to increase the chaos.
5. The Trapper
Answer: Agitation
The Trapper is a Killer who wants you to get moving, but crowd control is a necessary strategy since his ability is to place bear traps on the ground that can ensnare hapless Survivors. Agitation is a clever Perk to get what you want after the fact since it hones in on his brute strength and allows you to transport Survivors to the hook at a much faster speed, also increasing terror radius. On a faster Killer and paired with a Perk like Iron Grasp, this could mean the difference between missing out on a hook and crossing the map to reach the basement.
6. The Legion
Answer: Iron Maiden
Legion is a Killer that relies on swift strikes against multiple Survivors, so his Mad Grit and Discordance Perks are designed for exactly that. Iron Maiden is a bit of an outlier since it triggers when Survivors enter lockers around the map. Not only does an audible notification occur, signalling where on the map a Survivor has hidden, but the Survivor will gain the Exposed status effect when they leave for a short time. Placed onto the right Killer, this can be devastating.
7. The Huntress
Answer: Territorial Imperative
Territorial Imperative is one of the few Perks in the game to focus entirely on the basement. When used, it gives the Killer an audible notification that someone has descended into the basement provided they're at a certain distance. You can also see their aura for a short time if this happens.
The Huntress' other Perks are the Huntress' Lullaby Hex and Beast of Prey, which removes the Killer's red Stain.
8. The Doctor
Answer: Overcharge
The Doctor's hatred of progress is evident, especially when running Overcharge, which hinders Survivors' work on generators. If the Doctor damages a generator, the next Survivor to work on it will get a difficult skill check to complete or, else, risk having it backfire.
The Doctor's other Perks, Monitor & Abuse and Overwhelming Presence, lend themselves to making a more complicated and expansive terror radius, increasing Survivors' skill checks at a greater range. This is, of course, a boon for the Killer because of his Madness ability.
9. The Nightmare
Answer: Blood Warden
The Nightmare's Perks lend a lot to Freddy Krueger's main motivation-- to gain power through reputation-- so it's not uncommon to see him gain strength through actions made to frustrate and hinder the Survivors. His Fire Up and Blood Warden Perks come into play if Freddy hooks the Survivors or breaks their pallets and generators while his Remember Me Perk increases the amount of time it takes to open the Exit Gates. Blood Warden specifically blocks the exit for all players if someone is placed on the hook after the generators have been completed, extending the endgame.
10. The Hag
Answer: Hex: Ruin
Hex: Ruin is a common Perk because it has the power to extend the game, regardless of the Killer, because it regresses unused generators when in play. The Hag's entire arsenal of teachable Perks revolves around Hexes. The Third Seal can blind any Survivor hit by the Killer while Devour Hope, if left in play, will lead Survivors to be Exposed and then able to be killed outright (a la a Mori) if hooked properly. All Hexes, of course, can be destroyed if found and dismantled.
