Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What does the first boss of the game, found in the Great temple, hold before you defeat it?

Answer: Energy Transfer Module.

The energy Transfer Module is only found in "Metroid Prime 2", and it was built by the Luminoth to battle the Ing, but they have it stolen by them. Samus can use it to gather the missing energy from Dark Aether and return in to Light Aether.
2. Before Samus gains the dark or light beam, which is the ONLY way to travel through both dimensions?

Answer: Scanning a red ball near a portal.

You still use this way to activate them after getting these beams, but only a few portals work this way. The basic way to go to the other dimension is to find a non-energized portal, charge it with the same beam (dark if itīs a dark portal, light if itīs a light portal), and enter.
3. Is it necessary to gain the Space Jump Boots to access the Space Pirate Base found In the "Agon Wastes"?

Answer: Yes

You must jump on a flat statue of a Luminoth warrior and from there, jump to a pathway, and open the gate blocking the way to the base. Inside, you must battle a bunch of Space Pirates before you enter the indoor base.
4. How many independent parts are there on a "Quad" mechanoid?

Answer: Two

The "Quad" consists of the "Quad MB" (main body) and "Quad FC (flying command), and one can battle without the other. The "Quad MB" uses melee attacks on Samus, and can spin to defeat it, you must boost at it while it is spinning, and then boost to the red core.

The "Quad FC" covers itself with dark or light energy, and you must shoot it with the opposite-polarity beam (light if itīs dark, dark if itīs light), and then blast it with a super missile.
5. Which of these creatures is a boss in "Metroid Prime 2: Echoes"?

Answer: Chykka

First, you must battle Chykka as a huge swimming larvae, after you defeat it, it will turn into a giant Dragonfly, and it will transform into Dark and Light throughout the battle. The Dark Chykka can summon little Chykkas known as Chykklings. The Grenchler and the Splinter are regular enemies. Dark Kraid doesnīt exist.
6. In the first location, what was Samus looking for when she landed on Aether?

Answer: A group of Great Federation Marines

There IS a Space Pirate Phazon mine on Aether, found in Agon Wastes, but Samus and the Great Federation didnīt know about its existence. You fight Dark Samus there for the first time. The Luminoth were in distress. They didnīt signal anything, though.
7. Dark Aether's rooms are exactly the same as Aether's, but darker and poisonous.

Answer: False

Some rooms are different in structure, and others don't exist in Dark Aether. You canīt go from one region to another in Dark Aether, because there are no elevators.
8. Which upgrade does Samus need to enter the room where she gets the Sunburst?

Answer: Power Bomb

The Sunburst is the Light Missile combo. It fires a light, slow-paced homing missile to a locked on enemy. It consumes 30 light ammo and 5 missiles. It is not necessary to collect it, though.
9. Which is the last boss you must battle?

Answer: Dark Samus

The final main boss is the Emperor Ing, but after you defeat him, you must escape from Dark Aether. Unfortunately Dark Samus catches you on your way to a portal, and you must defeat her as the last boss. Ridley is not in the game, and Metroid Prime Echo doesnīt exist.
10. Which is the last beam you acquire?

Answer: Annihilator Beam

The Annihilator Beam is a combination between Light and Dark Beams (it consumes ammo from both of them). The Light Beam is the second beam you get, the Phazon Beam is only in "Metroid Prime", and IT only works if you are standing on a Phazon puddle. The Echo Beam doesnīt exist, but the Echo Visor does.
