Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the game "Pikmin 2", which of the following treasures is only worth 140 pokos?

Answer: Luck Wafer

The Luck Wafer (which is actually an ace of spades with a Nintendo logo on it) is located in the Hole of Beasts, has a value of 140 pokos, and is part of the Dream treasure series. The Remembered Old Buddy (which is actually a R.O.B's head) is located in the Hole of Heroes, has a value of 250 pokos, and is part of the Blast from the Past Series.

The Drought Ender (which is actually a Dr. Pepper soda bottle cap) is located in the White Flower Garden, has a value of 100 pokos, and is part of the Odd Logo Series.

The Fuel Reservoir (which is actually a 9-volt Duracell battery) is located in the Cavern of Chaos, is worth 120 pokos, and is part of the Mystical Energy Series.
2. In the game "Devil May Cry 3", did Dante kill Beowulf?

Answer: No

Even though in the game Dante was the one who fought Beowulf in a boss battle, after Dante cuts off Beowulf's eye, Beowulf fled the battle before Dante could finish him off. Later Beowulf finds Vergil, mistaking him for Dante and attacks him only to be killed by Vergil in a single blow.
3. In the game "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations", which of the following was not a reference made in the game?

Answer: "The Simpsons"

During the first case "Turnabout Memories" Mia Fey says "I guess we know whose milkshakes brings all the boys to the yard" which is an obvious reference to Kelis Rogers' song "Milkshake". During Case three Phoenix's thought to himself "She looks like a "Ghost in a shell" when he saw Lisa Basil for the first time due to her appearance and how she acted. Also during case three if you present irrelevant evidence to Lisa Basil, Maya will say "This Is Madness!" and then Phoenix will say "No Maya, that is SPARDA" which is an obvious reference to the film "300".
4. In the game "Super Smash Bros. Brawl", which of the following was the only Subspace army minion that you couldn't fight?

Answer: Mizzo

Even though Mizzo is in the Subspace army, you never actually fight him. The only time you even see Mizzo is in the Halbard while playing the Subspace Emissary in a display room showing several common Subspace army enemies in display cages. Interestingly in his trophy information it gives a brief summery about him but never says why you never encounter him in the game or why he's even there.
5. In the game "God of War: Chains of Olympus", what is the only other weapon you can obtain other than the Blades of Chaos?

Answer: Gauntlet of Zeus

The Gauntlet of Zeus is the only other weapon in "God of War: Chains of Olympus" besides the Blades of Chaos which is obtained late in the game in the Depths of Tartarus on a statue of Zeus. The Blade of Artemis is a large two-arm purple sword in "God of War" which is obtained in The Rings of Pandora inside Pandora's temple.

The Barbarian Hammer and the Blade of Olympus are weapons you obtain in "God of War II". You obtain the Barbarian Hammer after beating the Barbarian King and you obtain the Blade of Olympus during the fight with Zeus at the end of the game.
6. In the game "Frontlines: Fuel of War", when did the depression hit the U.S. according to Princeton?

Answer: 2012

According to the game's opening cinematic that Princeton narrated, in 2012 the depression had started and it was so bad that soon after Africa ran out of food the U.S. also ran out. In 2008 was the period that continuous blackouts started, lasting weeks at a time during the summer. In 2009 was when the Avian influenza virus became a serious epidemic.
7. In the game "Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII", which of the following characters did not make any form of an appearance in the game?

Answer: Barret Wallace

Yuffie Kisaragi appears in the game during the Wutai War sidequest when she's around 11 years old. During another mission where Zack is navigating through the Shinra Mansion underground passage, you actually find Vincent Valentine's coffin which you can actually open and even though you don't actually see Vincent, when Zack opens it he immediately closes it so he doesn't disturb him. Azul from "Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII" also makes an appearance but as an ordinary man who wanted to be a SOLDIER.
8. In the game "Metal Gear Solid", which of the following Konami games does Psycho Mantis not say you have saved on your memory card even if it's saved on your memory card?

Answer: "Solar Assault"

Before you fight Psycho Mantis he will actually look through your Playstation Memory card and will mention certain games from Konami that you have saved data on the Memory card (such as "Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night", "Policenauts", "Silent Hill", "ISS Soccer", "Suikoden" and several others).

In the GameCube remake "Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes", instead of mentioning Konami games he mentions Nintendo games (such as "Super Smash Bros. Melee", "Super Mario Sunshine", "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker", and several others).
9. In the game "Mario Kart Wii", how do you unlock the Blue Falcon?

Answer: Win Mirror Lightning Cup

When you win the Mirror Lightning Cup you will unlock the Blue Falcon kart from the "F-Zero" series. Having "Super Mario Galaxy" data saved on your Wii will unlock Rosalina. Unlocking four expert staff ghost data in Time Trial mode will unlock Funky Kong. Winning the 50cc Special Cup will unlock the Piranha Prowler kart.
10. In the game "Silent Hill", how many times did Grey Child's design change before it was finally approved by censors?

Answer: Four times

During the production of "Silent Hill" the original design for Grey Child resembled a nude faceless child that was later deemed too graphic for audiences (though it did appear in a preview image at E3 1994). Eventually after changing its appearance four times it was deemed acceptable.

In the PAL version of "Silent Hill", the Grey Children do not appear at all, instead being replaced by Claw Fingers.
