"Super Mario Brothers" was the first of the "Super Mario" series of games. Originally Mario was going to be called Jumpman and he was a carpenter, not a plumber.

"Tetris" was invented by a Russian programmer, Alexey Pajitnov. Tetris was first published for the Commodore 64 computer. In 1989, the game came free with the Game Boy which helped to make the Game Boy extremely popular.

"Pac-Man" was created by a Japanese video game designer, Toru Iwatani, and released in 1980. Iwatani stated that the reason he created Pac-Man was "to attract female gamers" because, at the time, video games were very much a masculine pursuit.

He said "Our focus for 'Journey' was to make the player feel small and to feel wonder, so when they run into each other in an online environment, rather than thinking about how am I supposed to use my gun on the other player, we wanted them to feel a connection to another player".
