Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the major town found in Redridge Mountains?

Answer: Lakeshire

Lakeridge is a lakeside haven for Alliance questers in the twenties level range. The path from the nearby starter zone takes players directly here if they so choose, but leveling through this beginner area doesn't necessarily get players straight to the Redridge Mountains. Lakeshire contains an inn, several trainers and traders, questgivers, and a flightpath location for Alliance players.

It is an Alliance location, hostile to the Horde. Only one of the bordering zones is Horde anyways.
2. Two wanted posters can be found in Redridge Mountains' main town. One of these is for Gath'llzogg; who is the other?

Answer: Lieutenant Fangore

Lieutenant Fangore and Gath'llzogg are both on the higher end of the enemies in Redridge Mountain. While Gath'Ilzogg is a group boss at level 26, Lieutenant Fangore is a solo boss at the same level. Both wanted posters can be found in Redridge Mountains and handed in there as well.
Hogger is a low-level elite creature found south of Westbrook Garrison in Elwynn Forest, Deathclaw can be found by players on Bloodmyst Isle (quite far away from Redridge Mountains), and Baron Longshore is a character found in The Barrens on Kalimdor.
3. Lake Everstill contains which of these types of enemies?

Answer: Murlocs

The Murlocs of Lake Everstill are ravenous and will attack pretty much anyone who wades into the location. With Lakeshire resting on its banks, a number of Murloc-related and recovery quests can be attempted. In addition to Murlocs, players can find Loch-Ness-like creatures submerged in Lake Everstill.

The docks in Lakeshire can accommodate low-level fishers and Spotted Sunfish found in the depths are important for local quest-givers. They can be found with a rod or by swimming.
4. Redridge Forces can be found across the map. Which of these is not one of them?

Answer: Redridge Bandit

One of many different factions of Gnolls, the Redridge Gnolls range from level 20 to level 27 depending on status within their camps. Lower-level Redridge Gnolls such as Brutes appear southwest of Lake Everstill while Alphas can be found in the hills north of Lakeshire.

Here, players can also find Yowler, a level 20 near-boss in the Redridge Canyons. When this enemy is defeated, you can bring his paw back to Lakeshire to hand in as a quest.
5. The Orcs found at Render's Rock are of what clan?

Answer: Blackrock

Render's Rock is the northernmost area found in Redridge Mountains and it can be reached by taking the path north out of Lakeshire. Here, players may need to defeat Blackrock Champions or collect axes for quests found in the zone. While the creatures found in the Render's area (the Rock or Camp) are edging into the level 25 area, players slightly lower in terms of their own level can possibly pull the close-knit groups apart from each other.

The character this area is named after is found in Blackrock Spire, an instance in a more northern zone.
6. The elite Orc, Tharil'zun, can be found at Stonewatch Keep.

Answer: True

Tharil'zun is Gath'Ilzogg's right-hand man, and both can be found at Stonewatch Keep at the eastern tip of Lake Everstill. This Orc location is one of the major structures in the zone, and Alliance players coming here will need to fight their way through droves of Orc forces in order to make it to the top of the Keep. Tharil'zun is found outside the Keep with a number of Blackrock forces while Gath'Ilzogg, one of the bosses assigned a Wanted poster in Lakeshire, is found at the top of the structure with his minion, Singe (who is also elite).
7. With what item found in another zone can you see the Tower of Ilgalar and its surrounding area?

Answer: Eye of Azora

The Tower of Ilgalar is found in the eastern end of the Redridge Mountain region, and players can connect to it using the Eye of Azora (found in the Tower of Azora in Elwynn Forest). Using this crystal-ball-like object, players can view the Tower of Ilgalar and the Redridge area.

The reason for this is the mages which inhabit both towers. Due to a long-standing rivalry, the Eye of Azora is used by Theocritus to spy on the mage across the map(s). The Glyph of Azora, used in level 20-ish quests in Redridge, also relates to these towers.
8. Although a rare spawn, what is the name of the Giant that can appear in Redridge Mountains?

Answer: Boulderheart

Although Boulderheart only appears on specific instances (randomly), he is a level 25 creature that appears in the Stonewatch Falls region. He may only reappear twice or three times within a day and his drop rates for green items are less-than-stellar, but for anyone at the appropriate level, he may be worth the effort.

There's a one in twenty chance of any of his possible green items to drop, whether they be cloth, leather, or mail. Boulderheart does not drop weapons- only armor.
9. Which of these areas is not accessible from Redridge Mountains (on foot)?

Answer: Westfall

While Westfall is just as much a part of Azeroth as Redridge Mountains, you'd need to cross through bordering zones such as Elwynn Forest (to the west) or Duskwood (to the southwest). Both of these zones are slightly less than or slightly higher than the level ranges seen in Redridge. Elwynn Forest (containing Stormwind City) is the Human starting area while the level range in Duskwood heads to the 30s. Burning Steppes, to the north of Redridge Mountains, is a much higher-ranged location for players from level 55 to 60. Yikes!
10. Redridge Mountains only contains one instanced dungeon.

Answer: False

Redridge Mountains doesn't contain any instanced dungeons whatsoever- everything in the area is part of the zone itself. The closest dungeon players will be able to find is in Elwynn Forest's Stormwind City, particularly the Stormwind Stockades. This level 22-30 dungeon is one of the lowest Alliance-specific instances in the game. North of Burning Steppes (to the north of Redridge Mountains) lies Blackrock Mountain, a major higher-level instance area in the Eastern Kingdoms.
