Peacock Alley was one of the restaurants found in the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. The Waldorf Brunch, at the Peacock Alley was a New York City institution. The restaurant was located in the center of the hotel lobby on the first floor. The restaurant was also known for hosting a Bar du Chocolat on select Friday and Saturday nights.

It was also known around the world for its red velvet cake, Waldorf Salad and its Eggs Benedict.
2. Osteria Francescana

Osteria Francescana was a wonderful restaurant run by Chef Massimo Bottura. The restaurant was known for its wonderful pasta dishes. It was also well known for its excellent décor and food presentation. This lovely restaurant first opened in 1995, and has won many awards including, according to the Michelin Guide, the best restaurant in the World, in 2016.
3. Gaggan

Answer: Bangkok, Thailand

To dine on progressive Indian cuisine at Gaggan, you would need to travel to Bangkok, Thailand. They are known for their evolving tasting menus. Opened in 2008, this restaurant derived its name from its main chef Gaggan Annand. On their menu they listed 'Yoghurt Explosion with red matcha and charcoal' as their standout dish.
4. D.O.M.

Answer: Sao Paulo,Brazil

Known for having excellent help as well as excellent food, D.O.M. is considered one of Brazils finest restaurants. They are known for having excellent presentation and unique dishes. This restaurant was located near the Procopio Ferreira Theatre and the Jardins District. Chef Alex Atala, who was known for his use of native foods, opened this restaurant in 1999.
5. Provenance

Answer: Beechworth, Australia

The Provenance restaurant, which opened in 2009, is located in an old building that was once the Bank of Australasia. Built during the gold-rush the building is grand and very ornate. They had very intricate, rotating menus that offer whatever is in season locally.

The restaurant creates contemporary food from quality regional produce with a focus on seasonal awareness. Chef Michael Ryan's interest in Japan is reflected in the techniques and flavors found in the menu.
6. Raymonds

Answer: Newfoundland, Canada

Opened in 2010, Raymonds is housed in a stunning example of Newfoundland and Labrador classical architecture. The building was first erected in 1915 on St. John's harbor. Raymonds offers steak, seafood, and duck each day. They were known for their revolving menu that featured what has been caught out on the bay. Raymonds is a collaboration between two Jeremys - head chef Jeremy Charles and restaurant manager and sommelier Jeremy Bonia.
7. Autre Monde

Answer: Chicago, USA

Autre Monde was well known for their Mediterranean style cooking. This small neighborhood restaurant was known for their seasonal menus, old world wine list and excellent desserts. They had both indoor and outdoor dining rooms depending on the weather. Autre Monde was launched in 2011 by owner and Director of Marketing and Operations Christine Tully Aranza. Most of the menu is the work of Chefs Beth Partridge & Dan Pancake.
8. Mingles

Answer: Seoul, South Korea

If you are interested in fusion Korean dining, Mingles might be just the place for you. Its menu featured Korean foods, with Japanese, French, and Spanish flavors used. Owner and Chef Kang Min-goo is well-known for mixing the flavors from different cultures together.

This restaurant, which opened in 2014, was known for their crème brulee which is offered in a flavor unlike it was found anywhere else.
9. Joe Beef

Answer: Montreal, Canada

Located in Montreal, Canada, Joe Beef is a wonderful steak and seafood restaurant. It is named after Charles "Joe-Beef" McKiernan, a 19th-century innkeeper and Montreal working class hero. It was found near the Historic Atwater market. Joe Beef is known for its chalkboard menu therefore, there is no menu on their website. Reservations should be made weeks in advance and do not expect a sophisticated dining room in this tiny restaurant.
10. The Fat Duck

Answer: Bray, U.K.

Located on the Thames River in Bray, U.K., the Fat Duck is a rather unusual restaurant. Most people who go there find their meal to be an experience. They are known for their great staff, as well as attempting to make everyone's dining experience unique. Opened in 2007 by Chef Heston Blumenthal, this restaurant was known for unusual dishes such as bacon and eggs ice cream, as well as for theatrics that would go on in the restaurant while you dined. If you ever get near Bray, this place is bucket-list-worthy.
