It was lifeboat 13 that drifted under lifeboat 15 and was almost crushed by it.

Pier 54 was torn down in the early 1990s, all that is left is the foundation of the pier. A group of people tried to save the building, but the wrecking company sneaked in on a Saturday and took the wrecking ball to it. This is the same pier in which the Lusitania left on its final voyage.
