"Boys" was written by Luther Dixon/Wes Farrell. It was track five on side one of The Beatles' 1963 UK album "Please Please Me". In the U.S.A. it was track five on side one of both version 1 and 2 of the 1964 Vee-Jay album "Introducing The Beatles England's No.1 Vocal Group". It was also track five on side one of the 1965 Capitol album "The Early Beatles".

"Boys" was originally recorded in 1960 by The Shirelles at the Bell Sound Studios in New York City. It was released as the B-Side of The Shirelles' single "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" which was number one for two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1961.
2. "Tell me that you love me baby/Let me understand"

"I Wanna Be Your Man" was written by Lennon/McCartney. It was first released by The Rolling Stones on November 1, 1963. It was their second UK single and the first to enter the Top 20, peaking at number 12.

The Beatles' version was released on November 22, 1963 as track four on side two of their UK album "with the beatles". The album had advance orders of half a million and had sold another half a million by September 1965. The "with the beatles" album replaced The Beatles' first album "Please Please Me" at number one on the UK album chart, giving The Beatles 51 consecutive weeks at number one.

"Honey Don't" was written by Carl Perkins. It was track three on side two of The Beatles' 1965 UK album "Beatles For Sale".

The Beatles recorded their version on October 26, 1964. John Lennon usually sang it at live performances but it was given to Ringo to sing this time.

"Honey Don't" was originally released on the Sun record label on January 1, 1956 by Carl Perkins. It was the B-Side of "Blue Suede Shoes", his only Top Ten hit on the Billboard Top 100.

"Matchbox" was written by Carl Perkins. It was released by The Beatles on their UK EP (Extended Play Single) "Long Tall Sally" on June 19, 1964. It was number one for seven weeks on the UK EP Chart.

In the U.S.A., it was released on The Beatles' 1965 album "Something New". Later the same year "Matchbox" was released as a single which peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Slow Down", a Larry Williams original, was on the B-Side and peaked at number 25.

"Act Naturally" was written by Johnny Russell/Voni Morrison. The Beatles recorded it on June 17, 1965. They recorded it in 13 takes but Ringo's vocals only appeared on the final take.

The song was track one on side two of The Beatles 1965 album "Help!" but it never appeared in the movie of the same name. It was released as the B-Side of "Yesterday" in the U.S.A. and peaked at number 47 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1965.

"Act Naturally" was originally recorded by Buck Owens and The Buckaroos, their version was number one on the Billboard Country Singles chart in 1963.

In 1989 Buck Owens joined Ringo Starr at the Abbey Road recording studios in London and recorded a new version of "Act Naturally" as a duet.

"What Goes On" was written by Lennon/McCartney/Starkey. It was track one on side two of The Beatles' 1965 UK album "Rubber Soul". In the USA, it was track four on side two of The Beatles' 1966 album "Yesterday And Today". It was also released as the B-Side of the US single "Nowhere Man" in 1966 and peaked at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"What Goes On" was originally written by John Lennon in 1959 but was quite different from the 1965 "Rubber Soul" version. That version was nearly recorded in 1963 at a recording for "From Me To You". After contributions from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the final version was recorded on November 4, 1965.

"Yellow Submarine" was written by Lennon/McCartney. It was a double A-Sided number one hit for four weeks on the UK Singles chart with "Eleanor Rigby" for The Beatles in 1966. "Yellow Submarine" peaked at number two and "Eleanor Rigby" peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 the same year.

"Yellow Submarine"/"Eleanor Rigby" was the last of 11 consecutive number one hits for The Beatles on the UK Singles Chart. It was the only UK number one that The Beatles had with Ringo Starr singing the lead vocal.

"Yellow Submarine" was track six on side one of the 1966 album "Revolver", it was track one on side one of the 1969 album "Yellow Submarine", it was track seven on side four of the 1973 album "The Beatles / 1962 - 1966" and it was track 15 on the 2000 CD "1".

"Don't Pass Me By" was written by Richard Starkey. It was track six on side two of disc one of The Beatles' 1968 double album "The Beatles" (The White Album).

It was the first song that Ringo wrote and he first showed it to the other members of The Beatles in 1962. It did not get recorded until 1968 and only Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney were on the recording.

The record was released as a single in Scandinavia but it was credited to Lennon/McCartney. It was a number one hit in Denmark.

"Goodnight" was written by John Lennon but credited to Lennon/McCartney. It is the 13 and last track on side two of disc two of The Beatles' 1968 UK double album "The Beatles" ("The White Album")

Ringo Starr was the only member of The Beatles to perform on "Goodnight". He was accompanied by an orchestra conducted by George Martin with backing vocals by The Mike Sammes Singers. The song has been covered by such luminaries as Barbra Streisand, Linda Ronstadt and The Carpenters.

"Octopus's Garden" was written by Richard Starkey. It was track five on The Beatles' 1969 UK album "Abbey Road". George Harrison, although uncredited, helped Ringo with the song and provided the sound of bubbles by blowing through a straw into a glass of milk.

"Octopus's Garden" took 32 takes and in the absence of George Martin The Beatles themselves were the producers. It was the final song released by The Beatles featuring Ringo Starr on lead vocals. The song gained true fame by being performed numerous times by The Muppets on their various shows.
