"Bleed Like Me" also contained the songs "Why Do You Love Me", "Bleed Like Me" and "Sex Is not the Enemy" that were all released as singles. The album got in the top ten album charts in the US and UK as well as Australia, Canada and France.
"Beautiful Garbage" was the band's third album, released in 2001.
"Fresh Garbage" was a song by Spirit, released in 1968.
"My Old Man's a Dustman" was a song released by Lonnie Donegan in 1956.

Shirley was born and educated in Edinburgh. She started her career with a group called Wild Indians, before joining Goodbye Mr Mackenzie. In 1994 she had a side project called Angelfish. In 1995 she joined Garbage and later moved to USA.
