Answer: Ernie Banks

Banks was a career Chicago Cub from 1953-1971. His MVPs came in 1958 and 1959. Ernie was also a Rookie of the Year runner-up to the Cardinals' Wally Moon. Banks was a Hall of Fame inductee in 1977.

Sisler hit 257 times in 1920, a record that would not be broken until 2004 when Seattle Mariner Ichiro Suzuki had 262 hits in that season. 1920 saw no MVP Award handed out, but Sisler did win it in 1922.

The Hall of Fame inducted George in 1939.

Who is this pitcher that had to buy World Series tickets?

Answer: Dean Chance
