Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the previews for "E.T." and "Saving Private Ryan", what had all the guns been replaced with?

Answer: walkie-talkies

The policemen in "E.T." were all holding walkie-talkies, and in "Saving Private Ryan" the soldiers were storming the beach with nothing to defend themselves but walkie-talkies! The gun noises were still there, though. The boys were even more incensed when they found that the feature film, "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back", had also been digitally altered and they walked out of the theater to ask for their money back.
2. What did Cartman advertise would be offered as swag at the rally to stop directors from digitally altering their films?

Answer: hats

The boys feared no one would come to their rally so Cartman added a note at the bottom of the sign advertising "free hat". Sure enough, a huge crowd came to the rally and demanded their free hats! Unfortunately, Tweek had only managed to make fifteen hats because he'd been so stressed out about getting them all done.

As it turned out, though, most of the people weren't that interested in getting a free hat and had actually shown up to support the cause (or at least what they thought was the cause)!
3. What show did the boys appear on to discuss their cause?

Answer: Nightline

Cartman insisted that he be the only one to talk, calling "dibs" on the role of "official spokesman." Kyle reluctantly agreed, but when Ted Koppel's first question addressed the boys' support of convicted toddler killer Hat McCullough, Cartman pointed to Tweek and claimed he was the spokesman.
4. What did Hat's supporters claim about his crime?

Answer: it was self-defense

Cartman and the boys were dubious about the claim, but the crowd insisted, "Hat was attacked maliciously and unprovoked by a gang of babies in West Town Park. When that many babies get together they can be like piranha. Three eyewitnesses testified that if Hat hadn't killed those babies, they'd have killed him!"
5. What was Plan B for persuading George Lucas to not change "Raiders of the Lost Ark"?

Answer: a song

When George Lucas insisted that the film was to be changed, Cartman announced that it was time for the backup plan: "You have a heart made of ice, Mr. Lucas, and so we're goin' tuh melt your icy heart... with a cool island song." All the boys ripped off their clothes, revealing colorful costumes.

They started singing along to some Caribbean music, but quickly turned to infighting over whether they should be singing a "cool" song or a "hot" one. Fed up, George Lucas finally called the cops!
6. Did George Lucas turn "Raiders of the Lost Ark" over to Steven Spielberg?

Answer: yes

The boys had talked George Lucas to the edge of deciding not to alter the film, but then Steven Spielberg burst into the room with three security guards. He bullied George Lucas into handing over the print, and then ordered the guards to "take the children prisoner." The guards obeyed their boss and did their best, but their only weapons were walkie-talkies! They weren't able to keep an eye on all the boys and Tweek, "the one with the cocaine-problem," escaped!
7. Did Tweek blow up the remastered print of "Raiders of the Lost Ark"?

Answer: no

Though he had it in his sights, he wasn't able to go through with it! He probably couldn't take the pressure of Steven Spielberg taunting him by telling him he wanted to see the film as much as anyone.
8. How did the boys protect themselves from the remastered "Raiders of the Lost Ark"?

Answer: closed their eyes

Just as in the film, anyone who witnessed the movie/ark was melted to death! Luckily, the boys all closed their eyes and made it through safely.
9. Was Hat McCullough freed?

Answer: yes

The Mayor's Aide attributed the man's freedom primarily to Tweek, evidently for suggesting the "cool island song" idea. Hat mounted the stage to make a speech but could do little more than ask for a baby, which the crowd willingly provided, much to Tweek's horror!
10. What organization was purportedly storing the original prints of "Raiders of the Lost Ark"?

Answer: The Red Cross

Stan assured Tweek that the original prints were safe in a place "where... nobody will ever find" them. They were all sealed in a crate and wheeled to a resting spot deep within a warehouse for Red Cross's 9/11 Relief Funds!
