Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many contestants competed in this season of "The Traitors Canada"?

Answer: Twenty-two

As with the previous season of "The Traitors Canada", this game featured both reality TV celebrities of Canadian television as well as everyday Canadian citizens. The difference this season came from the fact that instead of twenty contestants, there were twenty-two from all across Canada.

After being brought to Karine's manor house in Quebec, the players were brought to the round table and the Traitors-- three of them this time-- were selected. With that, the game was on!
2. Upon arriving at the manor, the players were told they could add $10,000 to the prize pot if they could do which of the following?

Answer: Place five players on Death Row

Just before heading to the round table, Karine gave the contestants an offer they had to navigate, giving them the opportunity to add $10,000 to the prize pot upon meeting them. The issue was that at least five contestants needed to put themselves onto Death Row for their first night in the manor, and when the newly-minted Traitors met for the first time, they would be murdering one of those brave players.

The money was added to the pot when Chris, Dillon, Hénoc, Kevin, and Lauren stepped forward to take the hit, sparing everyone else for the evening. Chris was murdered that night.

Interestingly, none of these players ended up being a Traitor.
3. Two of the contestants this season were related by which means?

Answer: Brother-sister

Taking a page from the second series of "The Traitors UK", this season featured relatives competing together amongst the same group of players. Both Nick and Kyra Provost, YouTube influencers, revealed to Karine that they were siblings during her early interviews with the cast.

She elected to make Kyra into a Traitor while Nick was left as one of the Faithful. Naturally, the former had to keep their identity a secret, even to their own relative.
4. The fourth mission allowed some players to claim a dagger, allowing them to choose between a Shield or which of these?

Answer: A double vote

Heading to a theatre for their fourth mission, the contestants were told to pick five players who wanted the chance to win a mysterious weapon, and once the game shook out, Cedric and Nick ended up having to make a choice. Without anyone else witnessing, each had to choose between either a Shield, protecting them from murder that evening, or a Dagger, allowing them to place two votes at the next round table. Both elected to take the Shield.
5. The Traitors were required to Murder in Plain Sight this season. This was determined by which of these actions or items?

Answer: A handshake

After the fourth round table, with tensions high, the contestants unwound in the manor but the Traitors had work to do. After the three of them conferred in plain sight, one of them had to shake the hand of one of the Faithfuls before midnight and get them to say "I trust you." With time running down, Michael intentionally took the task upon himself, shaking Dillon's hand before the bell tolled.

The Traitors didn't need to murder from the conclave, and the Faithfuls only found out what happened in the morning.
6. Midway through the game, a handful of contestants had the chance to sacrifice money for a Shield. How many players placed a bid?

Answer: One

While seven contestants headed out to complete a puzzling mission relating to their affiliations with the seven deadly sins, the remaining players were left behind for a casual brunch and meeting with Karine where she asked a single question: 'if they had the chance to spend this mission's money on a Shield, how much would they spend?' All of the players-- Faithfuls and Traitors alike-- said $0...except for Michael, who spent $5,000 to secure it instead of one of the Faithfuls. Karine removed the money at the round table and no one was the wiser regarding who took the cash...until the Traitors found out.
7. It was believed, at least by the Traitors, that someone was to be murdered on the fifth night. Instead, they were placed within a cage and had a chance of returning to the game. Who was it?

Answer: Gail

Though the Traitors selected Gail for murder on the fifth night, neither they nor the Faithfuls knew what would really take place during their next mission. Instead of murder, Karine informed them that their selection would be condemned to death. That person would not show up at breakfast, but they would be caged for the next mission and the players would have the chance to save them, finding a key to unlock them. If they couldn't find the key, Gail would be murdered.

She was, fortunately for her, saved from death, but the Traitors would murder her anyways, three days later.
8. In the eighth mission, the players were asked to vote for who they felt was the least trustworthy. That person was offered the chance to take the money from the mission for themselves instead of adding it to the group prize pot. Did they take the money?

Answer: Yes

Before the game's eighth mission, Karine asked the players to decide on the two players who could communicate the best. They chose Tranna and Lauren for this, and the pair had to guide players, blindfolded, along a wobbly, suspended bridge above a quarry to collect prize money.

Once the mission was done and they'd amassed $9,500, Karine informed the group, back at the manor, that they would also need to vote for person they found was least trustworthy. The majority voted for Cedric, and she gave him the opportunity to either place the money in the prize pot AND double it, or take it home for himself. He elected to take the payday, meaning the group received nothing.
9. Who, of these, was the first Traitor to be banished from the game?

Answer: Michael

And it took seven sessions around the round table before anything gave for the Faithfuls who, at that point, had lost THIRTEEN of their own numbers by the time they actually banished the proper person. After weeks of build-up, especially from fellow Traitor Kyra, Michael was determined to be a Traitor, receiving the majority of votes (including those from his fellow Traitors).

It took another day before the Faithfuls succeeded again, this time knocking Kyra out of the game right before the finale.
10. Who, of these, took the grand prize?

Answer: The Traitors

On the final day of the competition, the numbers whittled down from seven contestants to the winning moment. After Nick became the last overnight murder, the competitors had to take seats at the round table, voting for banishment until only four remained (this saw Kevin and Cedric removed from the game).

At the Fire of Truth, the players continued to vote for banishment, removing not only Laurie from the game, but Lauren as well, leaving only Tranna and Neda. Because Neda, a Traitor, remained unbanished with only two players remaining, she became the sole winner of the accumulated $72,000 CAD prize pot.
