Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. On the first day of the game, Alan offered the players the chance to trade one of their group for which of these "Survivor" stalwarts?

Answer: Rob Mariano

Arriving at the castle on a rainy, Scottish day, the contestants were brought to the entrance in the midst of a terrifying ceremony and met by Alan Cumming at the entrance. Before the game could even begin in earnest, with Alan selecting his Traitors, he gave them an early task, bringing none other than 'Boston Rob', Rob Mariano, before them and asking if they would swap another player to bring him into the game. None of the player took the offer, choosing to avoid bringing a clever reality TV personality into the mix. Alan declared that he would be exiled, and with that they were allowed to explore the castle.
2. How many players did Alan select to become Traitors at the first Round Table?

Answer: Three

The twenty contestants were brought to the round table on their first day and Alan commenced the process of selecting his first Traitors by blindfolding the players and tapping his choices on the shoulders starting with Danielle, heading to Carolyn, and finishing with Bob the Drag Queen, bringing them together in the Traitors' Turret that night.

These three wouldn't be the only ones to take on that mantle; he would add one more person to their ranks the following day, to their shock and confusion.
3. How many people were added into the game during the second Mission?

Answer: Three

In rejecting Rob on day one, the players were unaware that their choice would have an impact on the rest of the game. That evening, Alan met with Rob in the woods near Traitor Castle, informing Rob that he would be able to return to the game in the next Mission, but as a Traitor.

The players found that not only would Rob join the game, but he would do so alongside Wes Bergmann and Derrick Levasseur (both Faithfuls). The three of them would not have a vote at the next Round Table, nor would they be eligible to be Banished or Murdered yet, and each one of them, rescued, would gift a Shield to one of the other players.

The Traitors would come to find that he was joining their ranks at the second visit to the Traitors' Tower.
4. The players had ten Missions during this season. They won money at each one.

Answer: False

The season featured ten Missions, all of which featured possibilities of cash totalling between $15,000 and $40,000 USD if the players could work together well enough to collect it all. Of those ten Missions, nine of them net at least some money, with only their third Mission, sending them through a maze of clowns and balloons, resulting in $0 when they could have earned up to $20,000 (if they were very lucky). Turns out that they weren't.
5. The Traitors had to shortlist players to be Murdered while in plain sight. Where did they need to write their shortlist?

Answer: In the wine cellar

After Tony's Banishment, the Traitors were informed that they would need to write a shortlist of three players (one of which could be a Traitor if they chose), one of whom would be Murdered in plain sight. To do this they would need to write the names on a scroll in the small coffin in the hidden wine cellar. That evening, Alan would have them placed into coffins near the fire pit and one of them would be put to rest by the Traitors.

These players were Jeremy, Nikki, and Ciara. Ultimately, Jeremy was eliminated from the game.
6. Although many players won the Shield, none of the Faithfuls had a Murder successfully blocked by the Shield.

Answer: True

This season utilized the Shield in much more significant ways, making it all-the-more-enticing for both Faithfuls and Traitors alike to collect them whenever possible, and in some cases, this incentive was built into the Missions innately, giving everyone the opportunity to exercise strategic play. The first Mission, for instance, gave the players eleven total Shields. Another Mission gave ten.

While these Shields definitely helped those Faithfuls avoid getting a letter from the Traitors just by virtue of existing, none of the Faithfuls arrived at breakfast to find that their Shields had actually blocked an attempt.
7. At a late stage of the competition, only one Traitor remained. Who did they successfully blackmail to join them?

Answer: Britney

After Carolyn's emotional Banishment and reveal as a Traitor, only Danielle remained in the Traitor's Turret, tasked with blackmailing one of the remaining Faithfuls to ensure the survival of the Traitor role into the final Round Table. She opted to follow through on her hope of crossing the finish line with Britney, her "Big Brother" alumnus, and with no option but to join, or else be Murdered, she took the cloak.

The pair elected to eliminated Tom as the final Murdered player of the game and the remaining players headed to breakfast for the semifinals as a group of six.
8. The penultimate Round Table was the only one to see a tie vote. This ended up being between a Traitor and which of these?

Answer: A Faithful

When the group got to the Round Table it appeared that the votes were going to be between Danielle and Gabby, but the conversation instead placed the votes on Danielle and Ivar, ending off the tally with a tie. What this meant was that everyone, save for the two voted for, had to revote, and if a consensus couldn't be found, it would be left to random chance. On the revote, however, Britney flipped her vote, sending her partner to the Circle of Truth to reveal that she was, in fact, a Traitor the entire time.

This was the only draw of the competition.
9. Who was awarded the power of the Seer?

Answer: Britney

Heading into their penultimate Mission, the remaining six players were told that they would be playing not only for money, but the opportunity to claim the power of the Seer, allowing its recipient to speak to one other remaining competitor and determine if they are, truthfully, a Faithful or a Traitor. Britney, the only remaining Traitor after the penultimate Round Table, was the recipient of this power and she chose to interrogate Gabby, attempting to hide her own true nature. Britney was subsequently eliminated at the last Round Table in a unanimous vote, and her own true identity was not revealed.
10. In the finale, who took the grand prize?

Answer: The Faithfuls

After removing Britney at the final Round Table, the remaining players were not informed as to whether or not she was actually a Traitor or a Faithful. With this in mind, all of them headed to the Fire of Truth for the End Game, and there, in a surprise finale, all four players felt confident that they got it right.

This meant that Dolores, Dylan, Gabby, and Ivar all walked away splitting the prize, dividing the $204,300 USD prize four ways. This marked the first time in an English-speaking season of "The Traitors" in which four players won the game.
