Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What colour is the Blimpfruit, found for the first time in the Tall Trunk Galaxy?

Answer: Blue

Another Yoshi-specific edible treat found in this game (after the Dash Pepper in the Hightail Falls Galaxy, the Blimpfruit, when eaten, gives Yoshi a brief run of time where he'll inflate like a balloon and rise into the air. You can control this, but colliding with an enemy will pop the inflated Yoshi and colliding with a hard surface will make him bounce. You can chain Blimpfruits to keep ascending, and it will be necessary to do so for the Missions in this Galaxy.
2. The 'In Full Bloom' Mission that Mario encounters in the Supermassive Galaxy requires that he use a Bee Mushroom.

Answer: False

Although the real aim of Mario's visits to the Supermassive Galaxy will involve maneuvering the massive foes and obstacles put before him (and they are big!), there's a secret Power Star to be found here on a small, round planet that seems innocuous if you even land on it to begin. Covered in grass, the planet just needs Mario to run around it, causing flowers and shrubs to bloom. If he covers the whole thing, a vine will appear, giving him access to a star floating just too far away. No Bee Mushroom is needed; there isn't even one in the Galaxy.
3. Which boss, featured in the first "Super Mario Galaxy" game, returns in the Puzzle Plank Galaxy?

Answer: Bugaboom

Appearing in the early Honeyhive Galaxy in "Super Mario Galaxy", Bugaboom is a fixture in the World 2 Puzzle Plank Galaxy, appearing not only on images on some of the level's key fixtures (similar to the Mandibug Stack), but being part of a Power Star fight if you feed a Hungry Luma 70 Coins to create a massive tree planet.

The map there is identical to the one featured in the original game, but the honeycomb walls (for Bee Mario) are swapped out for the use of the Cloud Flower.
4. The Throwback Galaxy is meant to be reminiscent of Whomp's Fortress, a World found in what previous "Mario" title?

Answer: Super Mario 64

Found mid-way through World 6, the Throwback Galaxy is the perfect spot for the nostalgic Mario player since it revisits the classic "Super Mario 64" World, Whomp's Fortress, the second painting Mario is likely to jump into in the game. A floating fortress in the sky, visits here usually involve scaling the fort to the top for a number of Star-related activities.

In this revisit, Mario still needs to ascend to the top, but only to (in a twist of fate) drop through the planet and out the other side to fight the Whomp King. You'll probably see some familiar faces-- good and bad-- as well.
5. During the Sailing the Sandy Seas Mission in the Slipsand Galaxy, which of these obstacles will destroy your sand bird?

Answer: Cacti

While the first half of this Mission asks Mario to navigate a high-speed sand ride to reach his ultimate destination, the second has him on the back of a massive bird made of sand blocks as it crosses from one side of a long sand river to the other, where the Power Star is.

The problem is that there are many immovable cacti in the way, and those will destroy the bird. Its sand blocks, however, will return quickly. This is especially important since both Magikoopas and a big Chomp will also take bites out of the ride en route to the end.
6. The game commences with Mario's visit to which galaxy?

Answer: Sky Station Galaxy

As soon as Mario jets off into the sky to pursue Bowser and Princess Peach he'll be launched into the Sky Station Galaxy, the first destination of the game, where he'll embark on a Mission that has him going head-to-head against Peewee Piranha, a young, but large boss foe.

The visit here will likely be brief provided you have the basics down, but during your visit you'll encounter Yoshi's house, amongst other unique planets.
7. Which of these odd enemies is found in the Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy?

Answer: The Silver Chomp

There are very few types of enemies in the Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy. While Goombas are plentiful and Buzzsaws appear the further along you go in the planets, Mario's main target is the big Silver Chomp who appears towards the end of the Silver Chomp Grudge Match Mission. Since Mario spends most of this Galaxy on the top of a Star Ball, he'll need to bonk into the enemy orb, knocking it off its platform to gain access to the Power Star at the end of the course.
8. A Hungry Luma waiting in the Battle Belt Galaxy will expect which of these off of Mario to create a new planet?

Answer: 20 Coins

The Battle Belt Galaxy should be a straight-forward one since all Mario needs to do is kill every enemy in his path, but if you head there and start stoping, bashing, spinning, pounding, and setting light to anything you see, you'd be smart to pick up any coins left behind because a Hungry Luma found halfway through the course will ask for twenty. Doing so will allow it to create a Launch Star to a planet where you can fight Gobblegut a second time, and that will get you one more Power Star.
9. Which of these Missions in the Haunty Halls Galaxy features Yoshi?

Answer: A Glimmer of Bulb Berry

A Glimmer of Bulb Berry is also the first Mission Mario has here (with Sneaking Down the Creepy Corridor being the second and Spooky Cosmic Clone Chase being a Prankster Comet event), and with it, he'll need to navigate the moving, warping, disappearing paths to reach a Yoshi Egg and make use of the Bulb Berry. Only Yoshi can eat this treat, and it allows him to see otherwise invisible paths within a certain light radius.

It'll be the only way to get the Power Star in the spooky library here.
10. Which boss appears at the end of Bowser Jr.'s Fearsome Fleet?

Answer: Megahammer

Once you reach this de facto halfway point through the main worlds of the game, you'll find yourself at the platforms that make up Bowser Jr.'s Fearsome Fleet, a series of moving blocks that will have Mario coasting through an armada of ships, cannons, and other new foes. Bowser only appears on every even final Galaxy, to Bowser Jr. flies in with the KoopaKart in this battle and attaches to Megahammer, a massive, mechanical being that has two giant hammers for hands. You've just gotta use Yoshi and smash his weak points to bring him down.
