You can use almost anything to stuff a scarecrow. The most important thing is to shake the stuffing down into the arms, legs and body, or push the stuffing in, quite often, so that it is all nice and firm. This way, your scarecrow will hold its shape. Tie off the wrists, ankles, bottom of the shirt and top of the pants to keep the stuffing from falling out. The robbers forced the pilot to land the plane in a field. They headed for a house which had scarecrows guarding the surrounding graves. These scarecrows killed all but one of the robbers and the pilot's daughter, one by one.

They turned the ones that they killed into scarecrows. When the one robber and the pilot's daughter tried to escape in the plane, the pilot, who was turned into a scarecrow, attacked them. 10. Tim Preston (author) and Maggie Kneen (illustrator) created a children's story about a scarecrow. Can you name this book?

Answer: "The Lonely Scarecrow"

This book was published in 2002. In this delightful story a group of animals came together to learn the meaning of what true friendship and of acceptance is. Winter gradually transformed the lonely scarecrow into a snowman, as he became covered with the falling snow. The animals enjoyed him and found a wonderful friendship with him. Springtime would eventually return and the snow would melt.

I would like to, but I won't give away the ending. Do you wonder if the animals still accepted the scarecrow when he was no longer the jolly snowman that he was in the winter? You will have to read the book to find out!

Cynthia Rylant wrote "The Scarecrow". Margaret Wise Brown wrote "The Scarecrow Boy". Susan D. Rutz wrote "The Fifteenth Scarecrow".
