Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the date that Paul allegedly died?

Answer: November 9, 1966

On Wednesday morning, at five o'clock on November 9, 1966, perhaps? Some of the young female fans at the time might have considered March 12, 1969 the day Paul had died (that was the day he married Linda Eastman), at least in their eyes.
2. How did Paul allegedly die?

Answer: Car crash

Sadly, his former bandmate Stu Sutcliffe did die of a brain hemmorage in 1962. The Beatles former manager, Brian Epstein, was found dead in 1967 of an apparent drug overdose.
3. With some of the technical questions out of the way, let's get to the album cover clues. Which album features Paul sitting in a trunk with the other three Beatles surrounding him?

Answer: The Beatles Yesterday...and Today

If you turn the album on its side it resembles a coffin, with Paul in it! With the somber look on all of their faces, could they be mourning the death of their bandmate?
4. On the "Sgt. Pepper" cover, there is a doll (the one with "Welcome the Rolling Stones" on her shirt) that has a very important clue on her right leg. What is it?

Answer: A toy car

The toy resembles an Aston Martin car (a car that Paul owned). Paul was driving his Aston Martin when he allegedly died. The doll in question is sitting on the lap of what appears to be a grandmother figure. On the grandmother's left hand is what appears to be a bloody left-handed driving glove (Paul's a lefty you know).
5. In the "Magical Mystery Tour" booklet, there is a picture with Paul in a military uniform sitting behind a desk. What does the sign on the desk say?

Answer: I Was

Along with the "I Was", which could symbolize his passing, the two British flags behind him were crossed in the proper position for a British military funeral. Interesting.
6. On the back of "Abbey Road", a girl in a blue dress can be seen walking by. Who is this mysterious girl thought to be?

Answer: Jane Asher

Some believers say this heartbroken girl was paid to keep her silence about Paul's alleged death. In fact, the figure was just a girl who happened to walk by. The Beatles saw the photo and liked it and so it goes.
7. A pair of what appears to be blood-stained shoes can be seen by Ringo's drumset in a picture from the "Magical Mystery Tour" booklet during the "I Am the Walrus" sequence in the film.

Answer: True

Paul is barefoot in the picture. Besides his shoes is the bass drum with "Love 3 Beatles" on it. The "Love 3 Beatles" is said to represent there are only three remaining Beatles.
8. Who designed the cryptic bass drum on the cover of "Sgt. Pepper"?

Answer: Joe Ephgrave

Ephgrave is said to be an anagram for epitaph and grave.
9. Which album cover portrays a Beatle-like figure sitting on a bass drum with a car headed toward the figure's head?

Answer: A Collection of Beatles Oldies

The figure is said to be Paul. The Aston Martin type car on the cover headed toward the figure's head is said to represent the massive head injury that allegedly killed Paul.
10. Who is said to represent the undertaker on the cover of "Abbey Road"?

Answer: Ringo

To some believers, John represents the church; Paul the corpse; and George the gravedigger.
