3. When she was sweet sixteen and was a jukebox queen, which leather clad bass player and singer got her kicks down in Devil Gate Drive in the early 1970s?

Answer: Suzi Quatro

I only ever had two pop posters on my bedroom wall as a child; one of which was Alice Cooper, the other was Suzi Quatro. I finally got to see her perform live in Germany in 1979 and she was fabulous! Suzi Quatro was born Susan Kay Quatro in Detroit in 1950 and cites her early musical influences as Elvis Presley and Mary Weiss of the Shangri-La's.

She adopted the stage name Suzi Soul and performed with her elder sister's band, the Pleasure Seekers, before relocating to the United Kingdom in 1971. Quatro was spotted by the British record producer Mickie Most and was signed to his RAK label. Quatro's second single release, which became her first hit single in the United Kingdom under her own name, was 'Can the Can' which was released in May 1973 and which hit the number one spot on the singles charts in the United Kingdom, Australia and Germany.

Her next three European single releases, '48 Crash', 'Daytona Demon' and 'Devil Gate Drive' were also hugely successful. Suzi Quatro still performs today and has appeared in a number of television roles, notably as Leather Tuscadero in the hit US comedy show 'Happy Days', as well as hosting her own rock music show on BBC radio. Tina Weymouth performed as a member of both Talking heads and Tom Tom Club, Gail Ann Dorsey is a session musician who has performed notably with David Bowie during the 1990s and up until his death in 2016 and Sean Yseult was well known as the bass player with US industrial rock band, White Zombie.

4. Complete these Beatles song titles. Which one is different?

Answer: A Hard Day's ________

"A Hard Day's NIGHT" is the odd song out, as the word "day" fills in the other three. The song was chiefly a John Lennon creation, and he sang lead. Of course it's also the title track of the Beatles' third studio album and title of the first major motion picture starring the lads. Single, album and film were released in the summer of 1964, in both the UK and the USA. Trivia you probably didn't know about the film, directed by Richard Lester: Phil Collins, a teenager at the time, was in an audience scene set to "You Can't Do That," but the scene was cut, so he never appeared in the film.
