Rachel wanted a family so she had her maidservant, Bilhah, sleep with Jacob. As a result, Dan was born. Naphtali was the brother to Dan, while all others sons of Jacob had a different mother (either Leah, her maidservant Zilpah, or Rachel). Dan was among the sons that sold Joseph into slavery. It was later mentioned (in Genesis 46:23) that Dan had a son named Hushim.
Dan was first mentioned in Genesis 30:6 which told about his birth.

Two books of the Bible, Ruth and Esther, were named after a woman. Both are found in the Old Testament.
Ruth told the story of Ruth's journey with her mother-in-law Naomi to Bethlehem and her marriage to Boaz.
Esther told the story of how she helped save her people (Jews) from Haman.

Jesus was talking to Peter (then called Simon) and his brother Andrew and offered to make them disciples. Peter and Andrew were fishermen but rather than catching fish Jesus offered to make them fishers of men. Peter and Andrew became Jesus' first disciples.
Both Andrew and Peter were crucified but in unusual ways. Andrew asked to be crucified on an X-shaped cross while Peter asked to be crucified upside down. In both cases, it was because they did not feel worthy to be crucified in the same way that Jesus was.

Answer: Amos

Amos was a minor prophet who lived in the eighth century B.C. He preached about how it was wrong for rich people to be cruel aganist the poor. He also warned that God was angry when the rich did this. The book of Amos was believed to be the first of the prophet books written down.

Of all 66 books of the NIV Bible, Amos is the only one whose name can be spelled using letters in "old", "new", and "testament".

Answer: Adam

Adam, the first man on Earth, was called the son of God, since he was created by God from dust. In the genealogy of Jesus found in Luke, it specifically referred to Adam as the son of God. Luke 3:38 stated Kenan was "the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God".

The story of Adam can be found in Genesis 2-4.

Answer: Eden

As revealed in Genesis 3:23-24, God banished Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden after they took a bite out of the forbidden fruit. To ensure they didn't return, God placed a cherubim and a flaming sword on the east side of the garden. It remained there until the flood in the time of Noah.

It was not the shepherds but rather the Magi, or wise men, that followed the Star of Bethlehem from the east in order to visit the baby Jesus. They brought with them gifts of frankincense, gold, and myrrh. Jesus, Joseph, and Mary were in Egypt at the time and would stay there until the death of Herod.

The story of the Magi can be found in Matthew 2:1-18.

Some time after Jesus' ascension into heaven, Peter reminded the other disciples of a couple of psalms that essentially said that they should find a replacement for Judas, who had hung himself. The disciples found two possible candidates: Justus (also called either Joseph or Barsabbas) and Matthias.

They prayed to the Lord and asked for assistance in determining who should be a disciple. They then casted lots, and since the lot fell to Matthias, he became the newest disciple of Jesus.

The eighth commandment stated "Thou shall not steal". By not taking what others have, people are following this commandment.
The Ten Commandments were given to Moses by God on Mount Sinai during the wandering of the Hebrews on their journey to reach the Promised Land.
The other nine commandments are

3) Don't misuse God's name.
4) Keep the Sabbath holy.

Answer: Salmon

Very little was revealed about Salmon apart from the fact that he was Boaz's father and the husband of Rahab, the prostitute who hid two of Joshua's spies. This made Salmon an ancestor of people such as David and Jesus. Salmon is mentioned in 1 Chronicles 2:11, Ruth 4:20-21, Matthew 1:5, and Luke 3:32--each time as part of a genealogy.
