Answer: Footscray

The two players were Barry Round (South Melbourne) and Bernie Quinlan (Fitzroy), and they tied for the Brownlow in 1981. Both of them played as teammates at Footscray with Barry playing 135 games and Bernie playing 177 games.
2. Dick Clay played 213 games and in 4 Premierships at Richmond from 1967-1976. However, he had signed for another VFL club in 1964. What was this other club?

Answer: North Melbourne

He had been spotted by former North Melbourne wingman Les Mogg while playing in a preseason match for Kyabram against Cobram. Dick kicked 116 goals for Kyabram that year and was invited to join North Melbourne.

Wayne Richardson stood out for the entire 1964 season. Hassa Mann played in 3 Melbourne Premierships and actually coached South Fremantle to the 1970 Premiership. Denis Marshall came from Claremont in WA and played 85 games for Geelong. Maurice Rioli came to Richmond from South Fremantle in the 1980s.

Don Williams played in the Melbourne Premierships of 1955-1957, 1959, and 1964. From 1960-1963 he played for West Perth. Michael Tuck played all of his football at Hawthorn playing 426 games and playing in 7 Premierships. Harold Rumney played in 5 Collingwood Premierships (1927-30 and 1935).

He did leave to play for Northcote(VFA) in the 1936 season, but returned to Collingwood in 1937. Kevin Murray played 333 games for Fitzroy(1955-74) and in 1965-6 he was captain and coach of East Perth. He also represented WA, did not play in a VFL Premiership, but did however win the Brownlow Medal in 1969.

Frank Tuck played in the 1955-56 Grand Final defeats to Melbourne, but did not play in the victory over Melbourne in 1958. Carl Ditterich did not play in St. Kilda's 1966 team, but did play in 2 Grand Finals (1965 and 1971) and he captained St.Kilda from 1976-77. Neville Crowe played 155 games for Richmond and captained the club from 1963-6.

Unfortunately, he is best known for missing the 1967 Premiership win through suspension for throwing the famous "phantom punch" during the finals series. Jack Clarke played 263 games (1951-67) for Essendon and played in 2 Premierships(1962 and 1965).

He captained Essendon from 1958-64.

After retiring from football Des Fothergill moved to England and played for Enfield Cricket Club in the Lancashire League. Col Austen tied for the Brownlow in 1949. Alan Ruthven won the Brownlow in 1950 and was universally known as "The Baron" due to his dapper dress sense. Peter Bedford nearly equaled Des Fothergill's record as he won 2 B&F for South Melbourne, plus the Brownlow in his first 3 years in the VFL.

He also played first-class cricket for Victoria.
