Martin took the New York Yankees to the Series in 1977 by beating the Dodgers 4 games to 2. It wasn't too hard managing 5 Yankee All-Stars including Sparky Lyle, Willie Randolph, Reggie Jackson, Thurman Munson, and Graig Nettles.
2. Which of the following pitchers retired with 94 World Series strikeouts?

Answer: Whitey Ford

Whitey struck out an amazing 94 batters in his 11 World Series appearances in his career. He struck out 16 Braves in 1958 and 12 Giants in 1962, winning both of those Series.
3. How many times in the 20th Century did the Milwaukee Brewers appear in the World Series?

Answer: 1

Milwaukee made it to one World Series in 1982 managed by Buck Rogers and Harvey Kuenn. The Cardinals won the Series 4 games to 3 after Milwaukee won the opening day game 10-0. Milwaukee beat the Angels for the American League pennant 3-2.
