Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the first week of the competition, the models were told that they would be doing a shoot themed around which major theme?

Answer: Voting

With Cycle 11 being filmed in 2008, the girls went to their first shoot and needed to pose around different voting booths, some of which were more outlandish than others. Before this happened, however, thirty-three semifinalists went to Los Angeles to make it through a futuristic technology-themed casting week.

In the end, fourteen moved into their Los Angeles house and met with the judges in one-on-one interviews. After the shoot, the girls went to panel where some unlikely girls were praised for their editorial shots.

Others, however, failed to impress. ShaRaun went home over a lackluster shot depicting 'Homeland Security'.
2. During their second visit to the judging panel, Sheena admitted to which of these?

Answer: Having had breast enhancement surgery

The girls' second outing in the competition was a visit with posing expert Benny Ninja who, along with a contortionist model, taught the girls how to strike fierce poses for a subsequent go-see with a famous designer. Elina won the challenge and a bag of jewelery. For the shoot this week, the girls had to pose while hanging from a rope ladder.

Originally, they were asked to hold onto the ladder as it hung from the side of a rising hot air balloon, but weather issues forced the girls to hang from a ladder suspended by a forklift. During judging, the judges outed Sheena on her breast augmentation surgery (which she initially denied).

She was spared, however, over Nikeysha's poor showing in the competition thus far.
3. During the third week of competition, which of the girls had trouble during a swimsuit photo shoot because of her gender?

Answer: Isis

In week three, the girls dealt with their bodies, first by receiving makeovers to generate their modelesque appeal, and then by going to a Cover Girl challenge at a local Wal-mart. For the photo shoot this week, the girls had to model Susan Holmes-designed swimwear.

This proved difficult for Isis who, as a transgendered woman, struggled to find comfort in a proper pose. Nevertheless, she was retained for another week; the judges sent home Brittany for a lack of diversity in her shots-- she proved too commercial for too long.
4. Who was eliminated at the blindfolded runway show in Week 4?

Answer: Hannah

In Week 4, the girls headed to a bowling alley to get a runway lesson from Jay Alexander. The following day, the girls were treated to a runway challenge in a bank but, to their surprise, they would be blindfolded on the runway. Jay Manuel also informed them that one girl would be sent home immediately after.

This girl was Hannah, who was unable to perfect a walk. After this, the girls had a shoot at their house, specifically in the pool; Nigel Barker took photos with the focus specifically on their eyes.

At the judging panel, the judges sent Isis home for holding back too much with her shoots.
5. When discussing signature poses with Tyra, what was Marjorie's challenge-winning look?

Answer: Hunchback of Notre Dame

The fifth week of the competition brought the girls to the arms of judge Paulina Porizkova who taught each one how to make outfits 'work', regardless of size. McKey ended up winning the challenge due to her creativity and she won fifty extra frames for a disaster-themed mod photo shoot with Brian Edwards.

Although McKey had extra frames, it was Samantha who was called first (despite being in the bottom two the week before); Clark was sent packing. In the following week, Tyra took the girls to identify their signature poses and Marjorie won with her unique 'character', the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

She and Analeigh received diamonds as their reward. During the next shoot, the girls posed in awkward moments for 'The Fiercee Awards' and Lauren Brie, after several stellar photos, went home because she didn't put forth her personality.
6. Before leaving the United States, seven of the girls performed in a commercial for which company?

Answer: Cover Girl

During week seven, the girls needed to learn how to ignore their own appearances to sell clothing with flair. After meeting the Aswirl Twins and James St. James, all of them ended up posing in green-screened outfits to become invisible models. Elina won this one by appealing to the designer's wishes for the clothes.

After this, all of the models performed in a commercial for Cover Girl Eye Enhancer Blast Collection Shadow. While Analeigh performed what was considered the best Cover Girl commercial in the history of the show, the judges noted that others were far from suitable for moving behind the camera. Joslyn went home this week.
7. To which international city did the girls travel in this cycle?

Answer: Amsterdam

During the judging panel in week seven, Tyra made the girls walk in wooden clogs and revealed that six of them would be going to Amsterdam. Arriving in the Netherlands, they met with "Holland's Next Top Model" host Daphne Deckers and were told to pick partners to go on a tour and find their new house.

After this, they met with Ms. Jay in the Red Light District to pose in shop windows for their challenge. Samantha and McKey won, receiving a trip back to Amsterdam to be in several runway shows for a fashion week.

After a high-fashion editorial shoot on a moving ship, the judges sent home Sheena over Alina leaving only five girls in the competition.
8. In week eight, the girls went on go-sees. Which was not part of the criteria they were being judged on?

Answer: Their acting ability

For the go-sees in week eight, the final five headed to a local modeling academy for go-sees. Hopping into boats, they would need to visit as many designers as they could (using a map) within four hours; arriving back at the academy after the deadline, 5pm, meant that they would be disqualified.

Although she had the best reception, McKey arrived five minutes too late and Analeigh took the win. The shoot for this week consisted of two pictures, both shot by Tyra. One was a regular shot of the model without make-up; the other was a glamour shot taken to an editorial extreme.

Although the judges thought that Marjorie was a nervous wreck, they sent home Alina because she was unable to lose control of herself not only for shoots, but in person.
9. Tyra directed the photo shoot for the final four girls in their penultimate week.

Answer: False

The penultimate week of the competition brought the girls back into acting. This week, Paulina taught them how to evoke emotion towards items without speaking. After this, they jumped into a challenge in which they had to act out a commercial and kiss a male model at the end. Marjorie let loose as per the judges' requests and she won the challenge, receiving a shopping spree in Amsterdam.

This week, the girls had a shoot posing in couture outfits in windmill country. This turned out to be Marjorie's last week; the judges found that she took her personality to another extreme.

This left only three girls in the competition.
10. Who was America's Next Top Model in Cycle 11?

Answer: McKey Sullivan

During their final week, the final three girls filmed their Cover Girl commercials for Cover Girl WetSlicks Amazemint lipgloss on an Amsterdam canal before taking their print ad shots. The judges sent Analeigh home based on this shoot and ad.
McKey and Samantha had their final walk-off at a fashion show with a fairy tale theme. Ultimately, McKey was considered the stronger model and ended up winning the cycle. Throughout the entire competition, she never ended up in the bottom two.
After the show, McKey received her prizes-- a $100,000 contract with Cover Girl, a signing with Elite Model Management, and a spread in "Seventeen" magazine (as well as the appearances at Amsterdam Fashion Week won during a challenge). She also appeared on a billboard in Times Square and on
