Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This cycle, rather than live in New York City, the models were told to live where?

Answer: Los Angeles

This cycle, fourteen girls from all over the United States met up in Los Angeles for the semifinal casting call and then started their journey as the final group at the Paramount Pictures New York City Backlot. Here, for their first shoot (with help from the judging panel), the girls had to pose as aliens on the prowl in Manhattan.

After moving into their new apartment, the girls had to get their makeovers (already) and take a topless photo showing off their new looks. The judges looked at both photos and the girls' new images before sending the oldest girl, Brita, home first.
2. During their shoot in the second week, the girls posed with ten of which of these?

Answer: Dogs

To begin their second week, J. Alexander took the girls on a trip to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to learn how to walk runway. The challenge for this week took them to a K-Mart to show off what they learned in a dual-runway walk-off. Rebecca won and brought five girls on a shopping trip with shoe designer Stuart Weitzman. For the shoot this week, the girls posed with ten dogs for 1-800-FLOWERS and, in front of the judges, showed their walks. Sarah was eliminated, but not before the girls were shocked as they watched Rebecca faint in front of the panel.
3. In the third week of shoots, the twelve remaining girls dressed up as which of these?

Answer: Signs of the Zodiac

The challenge for week three was frustrating for many of the girls-- they needed to head to a tennis court and take shots from an actor who would be testing their patience with every frame. Naima won the challenge by submissively taking the advice of the impossible photographer/actor and she and two others went to dinner with tennis star Serena Williams.

After this, the girls needed to dress in outfits inspired by the signs of the Zodiac and be harnessed into wires for their shoot. Although Lluvy was said to have the worst picture in the history of the show, the judges sent Brandy home for her nasty attitude in the previous shoots.
4. In week four, the girls posed as different ethnicities for a shoot advertizing which product?

Answer: Milk

Learning about the power of make-up using Cover Girl cosmetics, the girls ended up creating each other's go-see make-up. Michelle, during this session, was deeply concerned about a skin rash emerging on her face. A later session with a dermatologist discovered it was impetigo, but not before most of the girls assumed it was a flesh-eating bacteria.

The next day, the girls had their challenge early in the morning; they needed to make a haute couture look. Naima won and brought two friends along to receive custom handbags.

At the shoot, the girls had a shoot for the 'Got Milk?' campaign, but they needed to have an ethnicity change...and pose with a kid. The judges ended up sending home Noelle.
5. The girls' fifth shoot took place at a gas station. What was the catch behind this one?

Answer: The models would need to face rain and wind effects

Arriving at Tyra's own company in week five, the girls all met Tyra's mother and father. Heading to an industry party soon after, the girls were tested on their first impressions with Cover Girl executives. The shoot this week involved both a weather element (rain and wind) and included another model in the back of their shot. Keenyah and Brittany, who went on a beachside reward for the night, were able to arrive fashionably late.

In the end, Lluvy was eliminated; it was her third time in the bottom two and the judges thought she'd never be able to take a good shot.
6. In the end of week six, when the girls posed for Wonderbra, what happened?

Answer: Two girls were eliminated

The sixth week, the girls had an acting challenge. Naima won herself $10,000-worth of diamonds as a gift. The subsequent photo-shoot was a sexy pillow fight in which the girls posed for Wonderbra. In a shocking elimination, both girls in the final two, Rebecca (for her poor photo) and Tiffany (for her poor attitude), were eliminated from the show.

A subsequent reaction from Tiffany prompted Tyra to give her a quick, firm reality check before she made her way out of the room. At the end of this week, only seven girls remained.
7. What was the international destination for this cycle of the show?

Answer: Cape Town

In week seven, the girls had to learn how to act in front of the camera (as subjects of an interview). This led to them needing to interview Eve. Christina won an interview with "Entertainment Tonight". Following this, the girls posed as the seven deadly sins in a cemetery photo shoot.

The judges thought that Kahlen had the best photo on the show to date while Tatiana went home. The following week, the girls finally headed to their international locale, Cape Town, South Africa. Here, the girls posed as African animals during their shoot for Lubriderm and Michelle was eliminated for being unable to fix up the judges' criticisms.
8. During the girls' challenge to go on their go-sees in week nine, how many did not return to the hotel by the prescribed time?

Answer: One

Staying in South Africa in week nine, the girls were taught about go-sees and were told to visit as many locations in Cape Town (of ten) that they wanted for go-sees. They were also told to return to the hotel by 4:30pm. Only Naima did not return in time; she was forty-five minutes late.

This week's shoot brought the final five to the wilds of South Africa; they kloofed down a river and were told that they'd be looking good wearing natural outfits out of the environment around them...that they'd be making. Christina was the casualty this time around.
9. In the tenth week of the competition, the girls met Nelson Mandela.

Answer: False

The girls had a challenge in this tenth week regarding South African tribal dances. Naima won the challenge and received a extra frames at the next shoot. All of the girls got to visit Nelson Mandela's cell on Robben Island and then some argued over the events that transpired. During the shoot, the girls danced with South African male models and Keenyah had the best-received photo. Brittany was sent home in fourth place because her personality faltered in the previous weeks.
10. Who won the fourth cycle of "America's Next Top Model"?

Answer: Naima

The final three girls posed for a Cover Girl ad and beauty shot and the judges decided that based on these photos, Keenyah would be the final eliminated girl. After this, Kahlen and Naima moved on to the finals, a runway show in South Africa where the catwalk would be partially underwater.

The judges ultimately decided that Naima had shown the judges what they needed to see in the show and she won the cycle. Naima walked away with a contract with Cover Girl cosmetics worth $100,000. She also received a contract with Ford Models and a spread in "Elle Magazine".

After the show, she started writing books about beauty and starring in TV and music videos.
