Answer: Nick Clark

Ten-year-old Charlie has been running with a gang of looters who prey on Nick's camp and indirectly cause his mother's death. Seeking vengeance, Nick kills their leader, who has been taking care of Charlie. Charlie responds by shooting Nick in the chest. Nick's girlfriend Luciana Galvez then stabs him before he can reanimate.

Answer: Troy Otto

Troy Otto, played by Daniel Sharman, initially tries to kill members of Madison's group but later welcomes them onto the ranch where he lives with his half-brother Jake and their prepper father Jeremiah Otto. Troy is a wildcard who kills deserting members of the ranch and eventually leads a horde of the undead to attack it.

He is eventually killed by Madison Clark, the domineering mother of Nick and Alicia, who bludgeons him to death with a hammer when she learns that he was the one who turned the horde on the ranch.

Answer: Travis Manawa

Travis Manawa, played by Cliff Curtis, is the ex-husband of Liza, the father of Chris, and the fiancé of Madison. He is thrown in a pit of the undead and fights them off, but gets bit in the process. Later, he escapes in a helicopter, but the helicopter takes on fire, and he is shot. He decides to finish himself off by jumping from the helicopter.

Answer: Chris Manawa

Chris, played by Lorenzo James Henrie, is angry at his father Travis and initially avoids contact with him. Travis is forced to hunt him down after chaos erupts and finds him at a protest of the shooting of a homeless man (actually one of the infected) by the police. Chris stays with his father for awhile, but later strikes out on his own in Mexico. Travis catches up with him once again and joins him for a time, but once again Chris leaves his father, this time with a group of rough young men. The men, led by Brandon, kill Chris after he becomes a liability because he is injured in an auto accident.

Answer: Jake Otto

Jake Otto, or Jeremiah Otto, Jr., is the son of rancher Jeremiah and the half brother of Troy. Played by Sam Underwood, the character meets his death in season 3, episode 12, "Brother's Keeper." Jake finds his brother is attempting to release a horde on the ranch and tries to kill him, but Nick prevents him by hitting Jake with his rifle, which sends him tumbling down toward the undead.

He is bitten, so his arm must be amputated, but he eventually bleeds to death.

Answer: Jeremiah Otto, Sr.

Played by Dayton Callie, Jeremiah Otto meets his fate in season 3, episode 8, "Children of Wrath." Madison Clark attempts to convince Otto to commit suicide so she can make peace with the Indians who plan to attack the ranch. When he refuses, she feels she has no choice but to kill him herself. Nick spares her from having to do so by shooting Otto in the head. Madison later brings his head to Walker to secure a truce.

Played by Elizabeth Rodriguez, Liza is the ex-wife of Travis and the mother of Chris. In season 1, episode 6, she attempts to commit suicide, but finds herself unable to. She begs Travis to shoot her, and he does.

Answer: Lola Guerrero

Played by Lisandra Tena, Lola Guerrero is Chief Water Utility Officer for the Gonzalez Dam, which supplies water to the people. In season 3, episode 16, "Sleigh Ride," she meets her doom as the Proctors attempt to take over the dam and she is shot in the head by Proctor John.

Answer: Ofelia Salazar

Mercedes Mason plays Ofelia, daughter of Daniel Salazar. When Troy turns the horde on the ranch, she is bitten on the left shoulder. She disguises the fact for some time, but it found out when she grows sick. Madison tries to get her to see her father one last time, but she dies before she can reach him. Daniel shoots her so she won't reanimate.

The audience learns of Madison Clark's fate in a flash back in season 4, episode 8, "No One's Gone." Madison drew off hundreds of the infected inside their former stadium home with a flare but was unable to escape through the tunnels, so she locked the gate and lit the herd on fire. Madison is played by actress Kim Dickens.
