Ofelia is in her late 20s when the series begins. She has decided to stay near her parents and has forgone some of her own plans because she feels they need looking out after. Griselda is the name of Daniel's wife, while Luciana was a girlfriend of Nick, and Alicia is Nick's sister.

During the initial rioting that occurs at the outbreak of the apocalypse, the police spray a high-pressure hose on rioters standing on scaffolding, which results in the scaffolding crashing down and pinning Griselda's leg. Dr. Exner has Griselda transferred to a medical facility for surgery, but Griselda does not survive.

After her leg is amputated, she dies from brain swelling caused by septic shock.

Answer: A barbershop

During the initial rioting at the start of the apocalypse, Travis, his ex-wife, and his son Chris seek shelter in the Salazar's barbershop, known as "Salazar Cuts." The Salazars reluctantly allow the family to hide out in their shop, but eventually fire forces them all to escape. Later in the series, Daniel provides Dwight with a much needed haircut.

Answer: Sombra Negra

Spanish for "The Black Shadow," Sombra Negra was a death squad that targeted gang members and criminals during the Salvadoran Civil War. The squad was first mentioned in 1989. In "Fear the Walking Dead," Daniel apparently committed unspeakable acts for the squad as a vigilante agent, and that was where he learned to extract information through torture.

In season 3, episode 4, "100," the audience sees that Daniel's inner lips are tattooed with the mark of the squad.

Answer: The Abigail Family Vineyard

After living on Victor's yacht for some time, the group settles at the Abigail Family Vineyard. Daniel goes a bit crazy at the vineyard and begins seeing his dead wife. He pours gasoline in the wine cellar where the infected are being kept by the vineyard's owner and sets it on fire. Everyone assumes he is dead because he never joins up with them.

Answer: The Gonzales Dam

The Gonzales Damn in Tijuana is ruled by Dante, who controls the supply of water to the people. Daniel serves as a janitor there but eventually gains a position of confidence as Chief Security Officer. When Daniel kills Dante and his men, he continues his role providing security under Lola, the dam's former Chief Utility Water Officer.

Skidmark is a tabby cat who makes his first appearance in Season 5, episode 2, "The Hurt That Will Happen," when Victor goes to see Daniel to try to borrow a plane. Victor finds the cat outside the gate where Daniel is staying. The cat seems to take a liking to Victor.

When Daniel is living alone in a warehouse, he is frequently shown playing blues music on a boom box as he works. He plays it in the car with Charlie as well, and uses blues music to lead a herd of walkers. His soundtrack includes "Death Letter Blues" and "Walking Blues" by Son House and "The Sunnyland" by Dr. Ross.

Answer: Valley Town

Daniel never lives at Broke Jaw Ranch or the Dell Diamond Baseball Stadium, and the Kingdom is a camp in "The Walking Dead" companion series. Valley Town is a place where a town was purportedly flooded to make a dam. The dam becomes drained at some point during the apocalypse.

It's seen as a good place to hide from the Pioneers, because on the maps it appears as a lake. Valley Town makes its first appearance in season 6, and Daniel is at one point its head of security.

Daniel is taken by the Pioneers and ends up working as their barber, thus resuming his former profession. He pretends to have lost his memory and not to recognize other captives so the Pioneers won't regard him as a threat. The Saviors are a villainous gang form the companion series "The Walking Dead." The Highwaymen are also a group in "The Walking Dead."
