Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Lisa has built which of the following for her Malibu Stacy doll?

Answer: A modest apartment

Homer, at home, watched 'Inside Football Today' in anticipation of six hours of football action. He also, of course, has himself surrounded by a smorgasbord of deep-fried and salted snack foods, enough that Marge worries about his heart health. Waiting for any insight into who he should bet on, Homer gets the random tip from one of the announcers that Denver will likely win, so he calls Moe and puts $20 on the team. Within thirteen seconds, they're down by seven points. Homer seems more frustrated, however, when Lisa interrupts him to show off her Malibu Stacy apartment, built from scratch.
2. Who suggests to Lisa that she watch football with her father to spend more time with him?

Answer: Marge

Lisa ends up asking Marge why her father doesn't take an interest in anything she does, like the Malibu Stacy apartment, and Marge asks if she's thought about it the other way. If Lisa doesn't show interest in her father, then perhaps it's why Homer isn't doing the same. Marge suggests that she bridge the gap and while Lisa is hesitant to do so, she ends up sitting on the couch to watch the rest of the game. Homer is already angry though; Denver loses majorly.
3. While Homer and Lisa spend time bonding over football, Marge brings Bart to which of these?

Answer: The mall

While Homer and Lisa watch the game, Marge thinks it's a good idea that she and Bart spend their own time together, perhaps while clothes shopping. Bart doesn't like the idea and insists that he doesn't need new clothes, but he's pretty much forced into it.
On the couch, Homer is disappointed at the colossal loss from Denver, but it's time for the next game, Cincinnati vs. Miami. While different news commentators bet on Cincinnati, it's actually Lisa, who Homer uses as a last resort, who convinces him to bet on Miami for the game.
4. How much money does Homer win in the Cincinnati vs. Miami game with Lisa's help?

Answer: $50

At the mall, Marge takes Bart to Wee Monsieur, a children's clothing store, and insists that he try on some outfits for her. This leads to a mortifying experience in the changing room.
At home, the Dolphins win and Lisa finds out that her father bet $50 on the game. She seems satisfied with his rebuttal though-- he says that gambling on the game only makes it more fun and that a bond seems to be growing between their newly-formed mutual interests. Homer insists that gambling's A-OK, and even praised in the Bible (somewhere in the back) before telling Lisa not to tell her mother.
5. At one point, Homer bets $23 on a football game, the equivalent of which of these?

Answer: Lisa's college fund

When Marge gets home, it turns out that Bart is already being harassed by bullies over his new clothes. That evening, Lisa and Homer agree to watch football next weekend as well. It turns out alright; Lisa ends up using her intuition and clever tricks to determine which team will win each game, and the duo is virtually unstoppable when it comes to selecting the right ones each time.

In fact, Lisa ends up becoming quite learned on the subject of football by following trends, so much so that when Homer picks up his money at Moe's, he's earning well over $100 each time.

It's enough to treat the family to dinner at The Gilded Truffle.
6. Homer ends up renaming Sundays to which of these?

Answer: Daddy-Daughter Days

Winter starts to come along and the games start to reach higher stakes. Sundays, or Daddy-Daughter Days as Homer calls them, are a ritual after church, and soon Lisa is making significant picks and calling Moe on Homer's behalf while he lays down on the couch.

At Moe's, when Homer picks up his next pile of winnings, Barney asks if he wants to go bowling the following Sunday, but Homer won't because it's the Superbowl. The following week, however, is free.
7. Which of these Malibu Stacy accessories was Homer unable to purchase for Lisa as a gift since it was sold out?

Answer: Malibu Stacy Lunar Rover

At school, Lisa is asked to read her essay on the topic 'The Happiest Day of My Life' and she regales the class with her anecdote of Sunday, three weeks prior, when she and her dad watched football. Its influence on their lives becomes much more apparent when Homer buys everyone expensive gifts; Lisa gets several Malibu Stacy accessories, Marge receives perfume (Meryl Streep's 'Versatility'), Maggie gets a stuffed toy, and Bart gets an offensive, automated voice toy. That night, Marge urges him to tell her where he got the money and Homer's forced to tell her the truth.

She's still against it; Homer feels as though nothing bad can come of it.
8. Angry with Homer, Lisa decides to give away all of her Malibu Stacy merchandise to whom?

Answer: Anyone who wants it

At breakfast the next morning, Lisa tries to plan for the Sunday after the Superbowl, but Homer makes it clear that he and Barney already have plans to go bowling. Lisa is extremely disappointed since it's seven months until the next in-season game, and she hoped that Daddy-Daughter Day would be ongoing. That night, she dreams that if she keeps on betting, she would grow up to be a disgusting gambler.

She forces her Malibu Stacy to live in her shoebox and has the neighbourhood girls take her ill-gotten accessories. What results is a mob.
9. Who wins the Superbowl?

Answer: Washington

Homer tries to convince Lisa that they should still watch the Superbowl together, but it becomes apparent quite quickly that he really just wants to get the final bets off of her. Lisa says that it's likely that the Washington Redskins will win, but she may very well be so clouded by rage that she wants her father to lose, so he should also bet on Buffalo despite her prediction.

She says that if she still loves him, Washington will win, otherwise, Buffalo. During the game, Lisa plays a mournful tune on the sax, so Homer heads to Moe's to watch the game. Lisa watches from home.

In the end, Washington wins, and Lisa still loves her father.
10. Homer, choosing to continue spending Sunday with Lisa, decides to pursue which activity with her?

Answer: Hiking up Mount Springfield

While Homer never bet any money on the Superbowl, he is thrilled with the outcome because the Washington win proved that Lisa still loves him despite what had gone on. Instead of going bowling with Barney the next week, Homer decides to follow Lisa's suggestion and hike the tiresome route up Mount Springfield to enjoy the lookout over the town. Surprisingly, they make it to the top.
