Answer: "Squid's Day Off"

Merely the title of the episode "Penny Foolish" makes it blatantly obvious that this episode contained one such example. When he notices SpongeBob picking a penny up off the ground, he stops at nothing to get SpongeBob to admit that he has the penny, as well as spend frivolously (such as build a faux theater to trick SpongeBob into spending it there) to obtain it.

In "Born Again Krabs", when Mr. Krabs learns he is not dreaming, he goes raving mad. He nearly tears one of his customer's arms off for a penny.

When a patron fish notices a penny on the ground, he reaches down for the penny (wrongly thinking it was his "lucky day" Mr. Krabs grabs hold of the fish's arm and yells, "Unhand that penny, or the arm comes off!" In "Imitation Krabs", in order to distract Mr. Krabs so he can use robot Krabs to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula, Plankton tosses a penny which circles around Mr. Krabs office and rolls out the front door. Mr. Krabs frantically chases this penny (which he seems to suddenly be smitten by) for 6 1/2 hours.

In "Squid's Day Off", he does not freak out over a penny. However, he does get both of his arms ripped off and suffers a severe head injury while attempting to get back a dime he dropped down the sink.

Answer: love

This intangible ingredient has a history of being mentioned tossed into the patty batter on the show. At the end of "Neptune's Spatula", SpongeBob reminds his trainee that "Perfect patties are made with love, not magic." In "Plankton's Army", Plankton reads a cup of love is one of the ingredients to a Krabby Patty.

In "Selling Out", when SpongeBob witnesses the processed trash patties being made on a conveyor belt, he bemoans, "Where's the love?"

Answer: cologne

Mr. Krabs did not need a giant rusty anchor. SpongeBob was just messing with him. But Mr. Krabs was so nervous he began screaming, "Uh, anchor? Anchor! I can't find me giant rusty anchor!" Also, Mr. Krabs was supposed to have met Mrs. Puff for the first time in this episode.

But in "SpongeBob's House Party", they were seen dancing together. Perhaps they just forgot their first encounter, as two ships who pass in the night. It is more than quite evident that they are no longer an item. In "Wishing You Well", Mr. Krabs accuses her of stealing her new boat (which she actually got from her wish).

Answer: False

Actually, Krabby Patties in those days were only a dime. Recalling this causes Mr. Krabs to hate the old days. A dime back then was still of much more value due to inflation, however. The black-and-white commercial for the Krusty Krab Mr. Krabs remembered parodied the commercials from the '50s.

When the commercials says that nine out of ten doctors recommend Krabby Patties for your health, this specifically parodies the commercials from those days that said, "Nine Out Of 10 Doctors Recommend Camels."

Answer: "With Neptune as my witness, may you never experience the unholy terrors that are inside that store."

"With Neptune as my witness, may you never experience the unholy terrors that are inside that store." is a Patrick quote from the end of "Toy Store of Doom." "All right, lads. Looks like you've shanghaied me." is not from the much later aired "Shanghaied", rather, from "Arrgh." Mr. Krabs says this after SpongeBob and Patrick talk him into playing their board game, which ended up being much to their detriment. "That fry cook's making me a fortune! What could be the problem?" is, of course, from "Squeaky Boots" when Squidward vociferously announces to Mr. Krabs he is taking his week vacation early. Mr. Krabs is soon to discover what problem his fortune-making fry cook is making.

As for "Look at me! I'm Errol Fin!", if you're a classic movie buff like me, heck, you don't even have to like old movies to know he is referencing what seems to be the underwater equivalent of 1930's swashbuckling actor Errol Flynn. Unless you happen to be Patrick.

Answer: Yes

Believe it or not, he has. If you have seen "Plankton's Regular", this one is a gimme. When single-celled Plankton starts to get but one infinitesimal customer (Nat), the ever avaricious Mr. Krabs will not stand for this. He becomes determined to steal Plankton's secret recipe! Of course, Nat always despised that sickening chum served by Plankton, and only suffered through it (including but not limited to hospitalization and having his stomach pumped) for that talking paper known as money. His sufferings were funded by Plankton's own wife, Karen.

The fact that Nat vehemently disliked Plankton's chum was hinted at before the episode's plot twist ending. When Mr. Krabs began serving chum at the Krusty Krabs in order to win over Plankton's customer, he moans "That's the second foulest thing I've ever tasted!", indicating the worst thing he has ever tasted was, you guessed it, Sheldon's grub.

Answer: No

As Mr. Krabs twice mentions in "Gullible Pants", her name is Guinevere. She is an example of an implied character on "SpongeBob SquarePants". I imagine she is most lovely. One can surmise she is a fish, as they populate the overwhelming majority of Bikini Bottom.

Not one main character, however, is a fish (although there are many recurring fish townsmen). Before this episode aired, I had no idea Mr. Krabs had nails. He appears to have only one big one (and wooden...?). Similarly, Patrick only had one toenail in "Battle of Bikini Bottom". "Gullible Pants" begs the question, "Can I walk up to some random stranger and say 'Hey, I know you secret.' and get money or some huge favor?"

Answer: a large pearl

During the Bikini Bottom Zoo's annual Free Day in "The Smoking Peanut", Mr. Krabs helps himself to a little more than what is being offered. They were giving away certain things for free, but Mr. Krabs just helped himself to everything (not one, but all of the balloons, a barrel of soda, even light bulbs! And Neptune only know what he made off with in the Gift Shop.

He hypocritically denounced thieves in "Life of Crime" before it was revealed he had stolen items that did not belong to him from people he knew.

He has never stolen a large pearl, he only thought he did. He actually steals the egg of the giant clam Clamu and chaos ensues.

Answer: Thermostat

The phrase "à la Mode" simply is French for "topped with ice cream." Therefore, the title signifies the events which transpire throughout the course of the episode. Plankton, knowing Mr. Krabs is so cheap he would not raise the Krusty Krab thermostat even a single degree, sticks a post-it-note with 62° written on it to the thermostat to make it appear as though that is the temperature.

His modus operandi is to freeze the Krusty Krab out of business once and for all by manipulating the thermostat.

It is most exceptionally funny when, even though he is asleep miles away, Krabs tosses and turns in his sleep knowing that someone is touching his thermostat. He does not remember the next morning.

Answer: Le Schnook

The "Fancy!" restaurant from "Chocolate With Nuts" and "Krusty Love" is back in its third appearance. The restaurant had not been seen on the show in years. We learn that the head chef of "Fancy!" is Mr. Le Schnook, an arrogant and pompous French fish chef.

He can be compared quite easily to the robotic Le Spatula from "All That Glitters." Le Schnook's miniscule yet extremely pricey French portions drives the Krusty Krab out of business. When will you learn, Mr. Krabs, that SpongeBob is not expendable?

Answer: "No annoying girly stuff"

Other rules included (but not limited to), "No loud music after 7:30", "No touching the Root beer cellar", "No eating snacks", and "No vulgar language." But the most important rule of all to Mr. Krabs was "No boys allowed!"

Answer: Crispity Crunchities

Crispity Crunchities from the Chum Bucket were fried grease crumbs "packed with flavor." It was their response to the Krusty Krab's Yummy Bunz, which were made by SpongeBob dropping buns into the vats of extra grease and letting them soak in for an hour. Mr. Krabs' answer to Crispity Crunchities was Wow! Soup (simply pure grease on a plate!).

Many in real life are tempted by grease's comforting goodness, but the consequences are horrendously dire. Mr. Krabs and Plankton's grease-filled competition took a toll on the health of their customers.

When SpongeBob sees what it has done to Patrick, that is the straw that breaks the camel's back. He calls the health inspector, who orders them to clean up all the grease or both restaurants will be closed down. SpongeBob soaks up all the grease, much to Patrick's delight, who starts licking him.

The episode closes with Mr. Krabs noticing this and pondering on a new idea.

"The next day." time card is the first and last time card with any of the main characters to appear on it. SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs and Squidward are seen on it. Additionally, this is the only episode with Pinch-o-matic, a loud, robotic siren with a fishing line who removes the spoiled patty from the trash. It claims to have saved Mr. Krabs 5.2 cents.

Answer: "He even makes phone operators seem smart!"

"No, I'm just doubled over in pain, fightin back tears in me eyes because it's a new dance craze!" is from "The Lost Mattress." Mr. Krabs had back pain from another insufferable night sleep on his lumpy mattress. "Just till his little heart gives out, Squidward. Just till his little heart gives out." is Mr. Krabs quote from the very end of the "Best Day Ever" episode (in regards to the play everyone but SpongeBob was tired of doing). Mr. Krabs memorable quote completed the episode. "I don't wear shoes." is, of course, from "Your Shoes Untied." It has been nearly ten years since first I seen that episode, and to this day I don't know why SpongeBob gasped when Mr. Krabs told him he doesn't wear shoes.

He's a crab, after all! "He even makes phone operators seem smart!" is one of Marty's quotes from "I'm with Stupid." As you know, Janet and Marty are not Patrick's parents.

In "Rule of Dumb", his real parents' names were revealed to be Herb and Margie.

Answer: Dunces and Dragons

This episode introduced many new characters from medieval times, such as King Krabs, Lord Planktonimore, Squidlly, The Dark Knight, Karen as a crystal ball, and Princess Pearl. When this episode aired in February of 2006, it earned about the highest ratings in the history of the show.
