Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Tuvok initiates a mind meld with a crewmember in his quarters while the Doctor performs a procedure that causes a patient to attempt to delete his program twice.

Answer: Coda

In an attempt to help Kes strengthen her perceptions of the captain's presence, Tuvok initiates a mind meld with the Ocampan in his quarters, but the attempt fails without either one of them being able to sense Janeway anywhere onboard the ship. Prior to that, a Vidiian phage-infected Janeway is being quarantined behind a forcefield in sickbay. Against the captain's objections, the Doctor performs euthanasia by filling the space within the forcefield with gas.

After two voice commands to delete the Doctor's program fail, the captain quickly succumbs to the deadly gas and enjoys another one of her many 'deaths' in this episode.
2. B'Elanna surprises Paris with an antique from 20th century Earth, but that antique becomes the source of another surprise after B'Elanna falls asleep.

Answer: Memorial

A television set complete with cartoons and a remote control--that is the gift the half-Klingon engineer gives to her loverboy conn officer. But after B'Elanna falls asleep on a couch in his quarters, Paris is startled when the cartoons he was watching begins to show an image of himself taking part in the bloody war fought on Tarakis, the horrific imagery later discovered to have been caused by Voyager's proximity to the neural signals created by the memorial that the aliens built, a reminder to anyone passing through that part of space about the atrocities that occurred on that planet.

In "Barge Of The Dead", the only antique of interest in this episode is the metal fragment inscribed with the Klingon insignia that is recovered from B'Elanna's shuttle crash and given to her by Chakotay.

Although B'Elanna imagines the metal to be bleeding and screaming, which was surely a surprise in itself, it definitely wasn't of 20th century Earth origin. In "Friendship One", the only antique of interest here is the Friendship One probe itself.

But it's the entire crew who is surprised by the probe's discovery when Voyager's sensors detect it. And despite the secondary surprise of the probe having caused the nuclear winter on the aliens' homeworld, B'Elanna falling asleep is something that never happens for the duration of the mission to retrieve the probe. In "Alice", besides the ship from the alien junkyard that ends up taking possession of Paris's mind and the various other pieces of junk salvaged by Neelix and Seven, there are no other antiques of interest seen in this episode, and definitely nothing of value from 20th century Earth.
3. An alien is seen serving a drink to someone relaxing on the beach while the Doctor is excited about playing a sport with someone on the holodeck.

Answer: Inside Man

Midway through the episode, our beloved Enterprise engineer Reginald Barclay is seen at the beach, getting served a rather eye-appealing concoction by a young alien man, before Barclay locates a sunbathing Counselor Troi who had been on vacation. Meanwhile, the Doctor had been trying to play a few rounds of golf on the holodeck with the corrupted Barclay holo-program sent over to Voyager via the MIDAS array, but the EMH is stood up several times when the Barclay program avoids taking him up on the offer at every attempt.
4. B'Elanna surprises Paris by gifting him a hand-made drawing, but she wasn't the original artist of that drawing.

Answer: Alice

After the events of the mind-altering ship Paris became obsessed with reach a climax, then resolution, B'Elanna gives her sickbay-recovering lover a 'get well' card that features a picture of the two of them together wearing their Starfleet uniforms, which she tells him was drawn by Voyager's only child onboard at the time, Naomi Wildman.

In none of the other three episodes does B'Elanna, nor anybody else, give a hand-made drawing to anyone.
5. Chakotay threatens to have someone thrown into the brig while an alien on the bridge gives Paris orders to pilot Voyager to a specific region of space.

Answer: The Q And The Grey

The female Q who pops up on Voyager ends up getting injured and unable to use her powers after the third supernova rocks the ship. Chakotay verbally threatens to hurl her into the brig if she doesn't start cooperating and telling him and the crew how to enter the Q Continuum and locate Janeway and our beloved Q from "The Next Generation" series. Later, the female Q is sitting in the captain's chair on the bridge, ordering Paris to set a course at specified coordinates.

The confused conn officer reluctantly does so after a silent head nod of approval by Chakotay.
6. Paris surprises B'Elanna with a handful of flowers while B'Elanna is at work in a Jefferies tube.

Answer: Scientific Method

In the beginning of the episode, Paris rigs a site-to-site transport in order to meet his half-Klingon lover in the Jefferies tube, a beautiful bouquet of flowers in hand. Unfortunately for him, the flowers aren't enough to make up for a missed date the night before, but a romantic kiss soon afterwards does the trick quite nicely. No flowers for B'Elanna, however, in the other three episodes, but still plenty of love nonetheless.
7. A crewmember's cosmetic appearance is intentionally altered by somebody other than the Doctor while an alien visiting Voyager uses its own transport device to beam out of engineering and back to a nearby alien ship that ends up exploding in space.

Answer: Warhead

In an attempt to regain control of Voyager and sever the link between the Doctor and the alien missile, the crew plots to have Seven assimilate the missile by faking an injury that would send her to sickbay. In preparation for their tactical move, Neelix uses a dermal regenerator to produce false plasma burns on Seven's face. Meanwhile, when the alien merchant named Onquani, who shows interest in acquiring the missile from the crew, has his offer refused by Janeway, he beams out of engineering in disappointment using his own transport device. Shortly thereafter, he attempts to obtain the missile by force, provoking the Doctor to retaliate by destroying Onquani's ship, as the alien merchant was declared to be an enemy.
8. Paris surprises B'Elanna with a romantic date on the holodeck, but the date ends abruptly when an unconscious corpse that isn't part of the holodeck program is discovered.

Answer: Repression

At the beginning of the episode, Voyager's newlyweds are out on a date at a movie theater Paris created on the holodeck, complete with 3D glasses, popcorn and all. When they delete the holographic audience so that they can enjoy the movie in private, they notice someone sitting in the front row. That someone turns out to be Ensign Tabor, the disgruntled ex-Maquis Bajoran first seen in the fifth season episode "Nothing Human", who is the first victim of Tuvok's mysterious assaults while under Teero's mental influence.

In "Scientific Method", Paris and B'Elanna do enjoy a date--at the very end of the episode, complete with dinner and all--but they are in Paris's quarters this time and not on the holodeck. Although the couple are seen together many times in both "Barge Of The Dead" and "Memorial", they are not officially on a romantic date in neither episode.
9. Neelix is upset after it's revealed that the mess hall food reserves have been tampered with while two aliens and a crewmember are zapped with hand-held weapons during an away mission.

Answer: State Of Flux

While Chakotay and a yet-to-be-revealed-to-be-a-Cardassian-spy Seska are enjoying a meal in the first officer's quarters, Neelix calls Chakotay over the com, angry that the food reserves in the mess hall have been raided, which Seska admits to without any shame whatsoever. Prior to that, when Chakotay finds Seska in one of the caves while the crew is on the away mission collecting food for the ship, he and the Cardassian traitor are accosted by two Kazon men. Chakotay dodges the first shot and stuns one of them with his phaser before the second Kazon stuns him in return.

Then in retaliation, Seska fires at the second Kazon with her own phaser before helping an injured Chakotay out of the cave.
10. Paris and B'Elanna share a romantic moment where one of them kisses the other in all of the following episodes...except this one.

Answer: Barge Of The Dead

At no point during B'Elanna's quest to prevent her soul from remaining in the depths of 'Klingon Hell' for an eternity does she share a romantic moment with Paris. The only thing that does happen is Paris lending a comforting hand to her after she regains consciousness on the bio-bed in sickbay at the very end of the episode.

In "Alice", when Paris is recovering in sickbay, B'Elanna pays her lover a visit and, after a few words of reconciliation, the two embrace and share a passionate kiss to top it all off.

After the crew's brainwashing has been removed towards the end of "Workforce, Part 2", the reunited couple is getting all nice and cozy in Paris's quarters back on Voyager. First, B'Elanna kisses Paris softly on the cheek to reward him for not giving up on her, then gives him a mighty punch to the shoulder to pay him back for flirting with the clients while he was working as a bartender down on Quarra.

Then in the series finale, Paris lays an affectionate kiss on his half-Klingon wife as she is going into labor with their first child in sickbay, all while Voyager is preparing to enter the Borg's transwarp hub en route to home back in the Alpha Quadrant.
