Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What 'inspiring' tactic did Sam try at the practice to encourage productivity?

Answer: He put up a board showing what everyone was doing.

Sam created a chart that had every one's name at the top, and the hours of the day along the side. He made dots in each doctor's column at the hours where they were seeing patients, leaving big blank spaces for those who were not being as productive as they could have been. Sam said that the board was simply to keep track of scheduling with Dell gone, but Violet said she found 'the Board of Shame' to be humiliating that he was publicly pointing out who was working hard and who wasn't.
2. What new thing was Pete trying in order to draw in new patients?

Answer: He was providing cellulite treatment.

Pete told the other doctors that he had gotten a Non-Invasive Cellulite Reduction System to attract new patients. Everyone ended up calling the device the 'defatelator', and later on in the episode, Pete admitted to Violet that he knew it was just a bunch of baloney.
3. Addison and Naomi saw a couple who were trying to conceive. What was unusual about that couple?

Answer: They were brother and sister.

The couple had been together for years, since they met in junior high. They thought they were soul mates, because they were allergic to the same things, had the same quirks, had the same blood type, and many other similarities. They had gotten married and wanted kids, so they went to Naomi for help. Addison and Naomi ran tests and found out from the couples' DNA charts that they were brother and sister.

It turned out that they had each been conceived with sperm from the same donor.
4. How old was Sam's patient, who wanted to be left to die instead of being treated?

Answer: 17

Sam was treating a teenager who was very sick with cystic fibrosis. The teen was tired of being hospitalized and made an appeal to Sam to let him just die. The problem was that the teen would not be turning 18 for another month, so the decision lay with his father of whether or not to continue treatment.

In the end, Sam convinced the father that his son was suffering, and that maybe it was time to give him what he wanted. The father agreed and allowed his son to die.
5. What piece of equipment did Sam hide?

Answer: an ultrasound machine

The practice was behind in bill payments, and some of their equipment was being repossessed. Sam grabbed one of the ultrasound machines that a collector had come for, and hid it in the back of a closet.
6. What did Cooper do to anger Charlotte?

Answer: He canceled their lunch date.

After Cooper convinced Charlotte to have lunch with him, and be seen with him out in public, he had to send her a text message saying he couldn't make it. He couldn't go to lunch because Sam was sending him to a health fair to recruit new pediatric patients. Later, Charlotte showed up at Oceanside Wellness Group, very angry at Cooper. She told him off, then stormed out.
7. What did Violet have to do for Cooper?

Answer: Shampoo his hair.

Cooper got head lice from some kids that he treated at the health fair. Even though Violet was angry with him for keeping secrets (he hadn't told her about his affair with Charlotte), he went to her to ask for help. He said that there wasn't anyone else he would get to help him with that kind of problem. While she was shampooing him, Cooper broke down and told Violet about Charlotte.
8. Kevin (the cop) and Addison went out in the previous episode. What happened in this episode when he didn't call her?

Answer: Addison called him and left a long rambling message.

Addison had been obsessing about the fact that Kevin hadn't called, but she was having trouble obsessing properly because Naomi wasn't speaking to her and she had no one to talk to about it. Finally, at the end of the episode, Addison swallowed her pride and called Kevin. Unfortunately, she got his voicemail and that didn't go so well - she left a really long and incoherent message.
9. Did Addison and Naomi's patients stay together?

Answer: No

Originally, after Naomi and Addison told the couple that they were brother and sister, they wanted to stay married. The woman asked Addison to do a tubal ligation so that they wouldn't have kids, and Addison wasn't sure she could do that. However, it soon came out that the guy had actually known before the wedding that his wife was in reality his sister, and she was furious and disgusted with him, and decided it would be best if they didn't stay married.
10. Who slept with the new receptionist?

Answer: Pete

Because Dell quit his job in the previous episode, the practice had a temp in. She was a young girl, nice but not all that smart or good at the job. At the end of the episode, she was in bed with Pete. She made him feel a little uncomfortable after she commented that Pete was "like the oldest guy I've ever had sex with!"
