Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The episode began with Addison helping Naomi get ready for a date. When the doorbell rang, Addison opened it expecting to see Naomi's date. Who was at the door instead?

Answer: Pete

Naomi was getting ready at Addison's house, and Pete had been next door playing poker and drinking at Sam's house. He turned up drunk on Addison's doorstep, wanting to know if she wanted to have some fun. She took his wine bottle from him and shut the door in his face.

They later discussed their potential relationship and Pete said that he didn't want a serious relationship and had no intentions of ever getting married again, but that he was there if Addison just wanted fun. She turned him down, saying that she did want a serious relationship, and looked forward to marriage and having kids.
2. Charlotte turned up at the Oceanside Wellness clinic and told Dell to get Sam immediately, because she had "urgent hospital business". What was it?

Answer: she had insomnia

She went to Sam, saying that she had slept only three hours over the past three nights and was having extreme difficulty functioning in her daily life. For example, she had walked to the clinic because the day before she parked her car somewhere and could not remember where it was. Sam volunteered to prescribe a sleep aid, but Charlotte declined, saying that she couldn't have any pills because she used to have a "problem", so she was referred to Pete for alternative treatments.
3. Cooper's patient in this episode, Tess, was the daughter of one of Sam's patients, Marilyn. What disease did Marilyn have?

Answer: Multiple sclerosis

Sam was a big fan of Marilyn's. He thought she was clever and funny and a fantastic writer. He was dismayed when Cooper came to him and told him that he suspected Tess was being abused. Sam wouldn't hear of it and this led to tension between the two doctors.
4. What disease did Naomi's patient, Angie, fear she had?

Answer: Huntington's

Angie and her husband Ray went to Naomi to get her to help them conceive a child. When both of their tests came back saying they were fertile, Angie begged Naomi and Addison not to tell Ray that they could have a baby. She had been hiding the fact that she didn't want a baby, because she was afraid she had Huntington's disease; her mother had had it, so that gave her a 50% chance of having it. Addison agreed to test Angie for the disease and in the meantime, Angie decided she really did want to have a child with Ray.
5. During her stay at the clinic, which of these did Charlotte do that annoyed the other doctors?

Answer: cleaned out their fridge

After Pete's initial treatments failed to put Charlotte to sleep, she started wreaking havoc around the clinic and annoying the other doctors. Cooper especially was annoyed to find Charlotte going through their staff room refrigerator and throwing his food, including Chinese noodles that were weeks old.
6. In this episode, we found out that one of the regular cast members was abused as a child. Who was it?

Answer: Dell

When Sam and Cooper were arguing about whether or not Cooper should report the suspected case of abuse to Child Services, Dell said that he thought Cooper had a duty to report it even if he only suspected a little. At first Sam told Dell to butt out, but Dell pointed out the facts to Sam: Tess always had strange injuries, she always wore long sleeves, and she always showed up early to her appointments as well as hung around afterwards, as if she didn't want to go home. Dell told Sam and Cooper that he knew all this because it's what he used to do when he was a kid.

In the end, Tess admitted that Marilyn was hitting her, and Sam supported Cooper when he testified at her trial.
7. Upon finding out that she had the disease and would eventually die from it, what did Angie do?

Answer: left her husband

Because she realized that she really did want to have a family with Ray, Angie was even more heartbroken to find out that she had the gene for Huntington's disease. She left Ray, because she thought it would be easier for him to hate her for it, rather than watch her die later.

She also did not want to tell him she didn't want to pass the gene onto a baby. Ray showed up at the clinic, demanding that Naomi and Addison tell him what happened. They convinced Angie to come back, and Angie finally told Ray the truth.

They agreed to have a family anyways, and let Angie live her life while she was still alive.
8. Did Charlotte fall asleep?

Answer: Yes

Pete referred Charlotte to Violet to find out if the insomnia was a psychological thing. Violet determined that Charlotte had intimacy issues and sent her back to Pete, telling Pete be nice to Charlotte. Pete mixed up a potion to apply to Charlotte's head to trigger the sleep centres of the brain, and also talked to her, nicely.

She confided in him that her family had never been very close growing up and Pete said very sincerely "I'm sorry to hear that Charlotte." The potion worked its magic and Charlotte slept through the night, right there on Pete's table.
9. What did Charlotte mention to Addison about Pete?

Answer: he had good hands

When Charlotte woke up, she gathered her stuff, as well as a supply of Pete's magic potion, and left the clinic. On her way out she ran into Addison, who remarked about Pete's ability to work magic. Charlotte added, "I will say this about him, the man has good hands", which only made Addison think about Pete more.
10. Did Addison change her mind about just having fun with Pete?

Answer: No

They had all gathered at Sam and Addison's houses for drinks and hanging out, when Addison saw Pete standing outside by himself. She went up to him and kissed him, and then by way of explanation said "I was just..." Pete interrupted her with "Having fun?" and she said no, that she just wanted to confirm what Charlotte said about Pete's hands, and that she still didn't want just fun.

She went back inside and left him standing there.
