Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The guys were at Sam's house at the beginning of the episode, working on a project. What did they build?

Answer: a volcano

Cooper and Pete had helped Sam build a volcano for his daughter Maya's science project. They were sitting around it, trying to get it to erupt while talking about the women. Pete was talking about messing things up with Addison, Sam was trying not to let it slip that he was sleeping with Naomi, and Cooper informed them that having sex with women you meet off the Internet was the way to go.
2. What role did Cooper say Charlotte played in bed?

Answer: bad cop

While at Sam's house, Cooper got a phone call from Charlotte asking him to meet her. The next scene showed them in bed, after having had sex. Cooper asked Charlotte if he could ever be the bad cop and she said no.
3. What kind of class was Charlotte holding at the hospital, that Cooper stole the idea for?

Answer: a baby care class

While in bed with Cooper, Charlotte mentioned the fact that one of her tasks for the day was to find a teacher for a baby care class that the hospital was having for new dads-to-be. Cooper apparently thought this was a great idea, because he stole the info from Charlotte's purse and decided to hold his own class, with him and Pete as the instructors. Charlotte was extremely angry when she found out and called off their date for that night, but later forgave him.

She admitted that what he'd done was pretty conniving, and that maybe he could be the bad cop sometime.
4. Which of his family members was Dell worried about in this episode?

Answer: his grandfather

Dell was late coming into work one day and when he got there, he sought Sam's medical advice for his grandfather, Wendell. Dell suspected that Wendell and his friend Nate were being abused at their nursing home because they always had weird injuries. Sam couldn't find any conclusive proof of abuse, but at the urging of the other doctors, he decided to help Dell investigate further.
5. Officer Kevin Nelson, the cop who had asked Addison out, reappeared in this episode. He was sitting in the practice's waiting room. Was he there solely waiting to see Addison?

Answer: No

Kevin was waiting for Sam; he had an appointment for a physical with him. Kevin had been in a previous episode, "In Which Sam Gets Taken For a Ride". He had asked Addison out, but she declined because she'd had a date with Pete for that night. And that night, Pete stood her up. So when Kevin reappeared at the office, he and Addison flirted, stirring up jealousy in Pete.

At the end of the episode, Addison went to the police station looking for Kevin, while Pete was standing on her doorstep waiting for her to get home.
6. Two more characters who came back to the Oceanside Wellness group were Kathleen and Jeffrey, a newly married couple. The last time they consulted Addison, they were having trouble consummating their marriage, and Addison and Pete helped them. This time they were trying to conceive. Was Kathleen infertile?

Answer: No

Even though Kathleen was a little older than optimal childbearing age, and her follicle count was declining, Naomi determined that there was no reason why Kathleen shouldn't be able to conceive. The problem was with Jeffrey. Naomi and Addison found that he had no viable sperm, based on the sample he provided.
7. What was going on at the nursing home?

Answer: boxing matches

Dell and Sam went to check out what was going on, and they found an attendant who couldn't care less where all the residents were and what they were doing. They followed a noise they heard, and found Wendell and Nate boxing, with many other elderly people standing around, watching them and betting on the fight. Naomi later referred to this as "old man Fight Club".
8. Whom did Jeffrey suggest as a sperm donor for his wife?

Answer: his brother

Jeffrey didn't want to consider adoption, because he knew that Kathleen really wanted to be pregnant and have her own baby. They decided to look into sperm donation, and Jeffrey brought his brother Mark in, because he thought it would be the next best thing to his own sperm. Kathleen agreed, but she stopped the procedure right before Naomi was about to inseminate her with Mark's sperm, claiming that she hated Mark and didn't want his baby even if it would have Jeffrey's genes as well. Naomi and Addison felt really bad for the couple, and decided to try to help them make their own baby if it was at all possible.

They performed a procedure on Jeffrey, found one single viable sperm and combined it in a dish with Kathleen's egg. They then implanted it back in Kathleen so that she could bear her and Jeffrey's child.
9. Did Nate die?

Answer: Yes

During the fight that Dell and Sam witnessed, Wendell punched Nate in the face and Nate passed out. He was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition for awhile before he died. The problem turned out to be his heart and it was determined that he would have died if he had been punched in the face or not, so it was not Wendell's fault. Wendell explained to Dell that the reason they had been fighting was to put some excitement back into their lives, to care about something again. Since Wendell's wife had died, he didn't feel alive anymore.
10. Who kissed Naomi at the end of this episode?

Answer: both

A little earlier, Dell had yelled at Sam about Sam treated Naomi, saying that she was special and that he loved her. Sam was annoyed with Dell, but took his words to heart. After his conversation with Wendell, Dell decided he had to take a chance with Naomi before he stopped caring about anything as much, and kissed her in his office. Right after he left, Sam intercepted Naomi in the hallway and kissed her out in the open, for everyone to see (he had wanted to keep their renewed relationship secret). Cooper asked Dell what that was about, and Dell replied "He's fighting for her.

She's worth it."
