Everyone was acting really awkward when they arrived at the office, due to the confusing events of the night before: Pete had stood Addison up, Cooper and Violet had nearly slept together, and Sam and Naomi did sleep together. The women got together in Naomi's office to talk.

While Violet was complaining about Cooper, she recounted how she had shed her clothes and then Cooper changed his mind about their encounter. She said that she had 'good parts', and Addison replied "Damn right you do, and so do I!" That was when Violet told Addison she liked her breasts and Addison replied that Violet had a good butt.

Addison had to go downstairs to the coffee cart in the lobby of their building to get coffee for her, Naomi and Violet because Sam, Cooper and Pete had taken over the staff room (where their coffeemaker is) to talk about the women. Addison and Pete had volunteered to help her, so when a call came through, they had to go to a house and meet Darcy.

She handed over a baby girl to them, and told them that she had delivered on her top bunk bed, with her stereo turned up loud so that her mother couldn't hear. Addison and Pete took the baby back to the practice, and she was deemed very healthy, considering the circumstances of her birth. Addison volunteered to spend the night at the clinic looking after the baby, so that they wouldn't have to call Social Services until the morning.

Sam and Naomi's priest called them and asked them to report to the convent where a group of nuns had been sequestered for three weeks because one of the nuns wasn't well but didn't want them to go to the hospital. When they examined the nun, they found an odd rash on her. Naomi took pictures of it with her phone and e-mailed them to Dell and asked him to look up what it was.

While they were waiting for the results, the other nuns all began to feel ill as well and developed the same rash. Dell finally called back and identified the rash as a symptom of typhoid, and Sam and Naomi had to put the convent under quarantine, until one of the nuns, Sister Virginia, was so sick they couldn't wait until a special hospital unit was set up for her; they had to go immediately.

When Addison woke up from her night at the practice taking care of the baby, she commented that she couldn't find one of her shoes. Carl was actually one of Violet's patients, and Violet was a bit worried when she found out that Addison was seeing him.

She kept hinting that there was something quite wrong with Carl, but Addison didn't believe her. Then Violet was paged to the emergency room at the hospital, where Carl had admitted because he had nearly perforated his bowel with a shoe... Addison's shoe.

He had a disorder where he took things that belonged to people and put them inside him. He ended up agreeing with Violet that he wasn't ready to date yet, and Violet explained the situation to Addison.

Addison told this to Naomi while she was sitting in a supply closet with the baby, talking to Naomi on the phone while she was at the convent. Naomi warned her against getting too attached to Batgirl, because there was no way Addison would be legally allowed to keep her.

They also noticed the priest's special relationship with Sister Virginia, and they confronted him. He admitted to being inside the sequestered convent, but said that their relationship was purely platonic; they were good friends who liked to cook together.

The priest was the carrier of the typhoid, but as the carrier he displayed no symptoms himself.

With the Safe Surrender program, the birth mother had two weeks to change her mind and reclaim her baby before the adoption process was started. Darcy's mother found out that Darcy had given birth and would not allow her to give up her child. They showed up at the Oceanside Wellness Group, and Addison handed Batgirl over. She was very emotional because she had gotten attached to Batgirl and had had to give her up. Pete wanted to be with her, saying that she shouldn't be alone. She simply replied that she wouldn't be and left. She turned up on Sam's doorstep, saying she couldn't go home yet, but that Naomi wasn't answering her phone. Addison tried to start telling Sam how she was feeling, and then Naomi appeared in his house as well, hugged Addison and Addison burst into tears.
