Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where was Dell working, since having resigned his position at the practice in the season opener?

Answer: the hospital

Addison found Dell working at St. Ambrose hospital, after she fell off a treadmill and hurt her knee. She went to get her knee checked out and Dell was the nurse who attended to her.
2. Who thinks they'll be the first to be fired, if the practice needs to let one of their doctors go?

Answer: Cooper

Cooper mentioned this fear a few times in this episode. The first time was when he was in the bath with Charlotte, trying to talk to her about his concerns. He figured that as a pediatrician, he was the least valuable addition to the Oceanside Wellness Group. I'm not sure why he thought being a pediatrician was less important than Pete's alternative medicine, though!
3. What was Sam's beef with Violet?

Answer: She was taking too long with each patient.

Sam had lined up a series of consults for Violet, to bring in a little more money quickly. He wasn't pleased that Violet was taking more than the 15 minutes per consult that he allotted to her. Violet defended herself, saying that she couldn't be a good psychiatrist and get all the required information from the patient in just 15 minutes.
4. Pete treated a fire fighter with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; what was the man's own way of dealing with his stress and anxiety?

Answer: He wore women's underwear.

The fire chief had been involved in a big fire in which members of his team had died. Pete had been trying to treat him and help him deal with his stress, but the chief revealed to Pete that he'd found his own way. He took off his shirt revealing a purple, lacy bra.

He couldn't explain why, but he told Pete that bras and panties calmed him down. Well, mostly - he was still anxious about one thing: what would his team think if they found out?
5. What did Kevin (SWAT guy) bring to Addison to make up for not calling her?

Answer: donuts

Really, I expected more a-cop-bringing-donuts jokes out of this scene! Kevin brought Addison donuts to "woo" her. She was a bit annoyed that he hadn't called her, even after she left her long rambling message on his voicemail, but he explained that he had just been very busy with a case.

He also said he actually enjoyed her incoherent message. Addison agreed to meet him for lunch that day.
6. During one of Violet's consults, she saw a woman who was having trouble sleeping. What did they determine was the cause of the woman's insomnia?

Answer: She was afraid of her son.

The woman had come to Violet just to get a prescription for sleeping pills. Since Violet was unwilling to just write a quick prescription, they talked about the issues at hand. The woman explained to Violet that her husband had died a year ago, and that since then her son Jesse had become increasingly distant and violent.

She suspected that Jesse had even killed the family dog and shown no remorse about it. She was afraid to sleep because she thought Jesse might hurt her.
7. Over in Cooper's office, he was meeting with a mother who had a year-old son. She was concerned about one thing about her baby; what was her concern?

Answer: He had a really big head.

We never got to see the alleged really big head, but Cooper's reaction when the mother showed him the baby implies that the kid really did have a large head. Cooper told her it was probably nothing to worry about, but that he would run tests.
8. Addison spent most of her day doing surgeries at the hospital. Charlotte offered her a permanent position, saying she could really use a board-certified neo-natal surgeon attached to the hospital. Did Addison accept Charlotte's offer?

Answer: No

Addison clearly enjoyed getting back in an OR and saving lives, but she had to stop and take a good look at herself when the husband of one of the pregnant women she'd operated on twice asked her if she even bothered to pay attention to what his wife's name was.

She realized she hadn't, and hadn't cared about any other personal details either. Addison came to realize that, as much as she loved doing surgeries, she had really come to enjoy the more personal interaction with patients that she was getting working in a private practice.
9. Did Jesse kill his dog?

Answer: Yes

Violet started to share the fears of Jesse's mother and thought he might be dangerous, even though she gave him the sociopath test and he didn't test as a sociopath. She confronted him and he broke down and admitted that he'd killed the dog. He'd done it because the dog had cancer, and he knew that his mother didn't have the money to pay for cancer treatment or even to have the dog put down, but that she was going to do it any way, so that Jesse wouldn't lose his dog so soon after his father died. Jesse thought he was being responsible by stepping up and doing what he had to do.
10. Who argued with Sam to get Dell his job back?

Answer: Naomi

Earlier, Naomi had gone to the hospital to ask Dell to come back to the practice. He refused, but Addison talked to him later and convinced him to go back. He went to see Sam, and told him that he'd come back, but that he had a list of demands. Sam started to refuse, but Naomi came in and yelled at him and insisted he take Dell back, with some of his demands met.
