Gerald was driving around town showing off his car and Kyle warned him that Ike was "starving to death." Gerald urged his boys to "hold on," as they still needed to "go to the hardware store and hand out awareness citations to SUV cars in the parking lot." Once there, Gerald made the kids don orange safety vests and help him ticket the offensive vehicles!

Randy was angry about the fake ticket Gerald had put on his car for "failure to care about the environment." He told Gerald that the real problem was, "Ever since you got a hybrid car, you've gotten so smug that you love the smell of your own farts!" When Gerald responded haughtily, and with closed eyes, about his passion for the earth, Randy added, "And that too! Stop talking with your eyes closed! That's what smug people do!"

Butters invited Stan, but Stan hadn't even known Kyle was moving! Cartman was hosting the party, but not in quite the right spirit; he was celebrating the departure of the "no-good back-stabbing Jew rat" and hadn't even thought to invite Kyle!

Cartman thought for a moment, then scoffed at the idea, assuring Stan, "I don't need Kyle to rip on, I've got Butters. Come on, Butters, you stupid Jew!" Butters assumed his new role enthusiastically, saying "Yeah! I'm a dumb Jew!" before following Cartman out the door.

Obviously, the lyrics were inane at best, but they seemed to do the trick! All the residents of South Park rushed out and bought hybrids, then drove around town congratulating themselves and their fellow residents on their progressiveness.

As the weatherman reported, "All those hybrid cars on the road have caused heavy smug to develop over most of Park and Jefferson Counties. On the national map, we can see smug over Denver and developing smug in Los Angeles. However, San Francisco is once again the smuggiest city in the country."

Gerald asked if he'd like red or white, but Alan asked for an empty glass. Gerald gave it to him and watched as Alan farted into the glass and then brought it to his nose to inhale deeply!

When the kids first offered the drugs, Kyle demurred, saying "Oh, no thanks. We don't do that stuff." The kids assured them, "You will. There's a reason most San Francisco kids take a lot of drugs. It's the only thing that allows us to deal with our parents all walking around loving the smell of their own farts all the time." Just then, Gerald came in to check on the kids, farted, and bent down to take a deep whiff before walking away. Kyle had changed his mind and said, "Well, maybe I'll take just half a hit of acid." Ike was much more enthusiastic, announcing, "I'll have three!"

Stan was confused, but the weatherman informed him, "He talked about how people in Hollywood are ahead of the curve on social matters. He even took credit for the Civil Rights movement!" He then further explained that if the smug from George Clooney's acceptance speech hit the supercell of South Park and San Francisco smug, there would be a "disaster of epic proportions.

Stan wanted to go and warn Kyle before the storm hit, but the town dictated that he stay in South Park and destroy all the hybrid cars, to try to right the wrong he'd committed by writing the song. Cartman went to San Francisco, though, and braved the treacherously liberal streets to bring back Kyle, just so he'd have someone to rip on!
