Tara grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and enrolled in the Atlanta Police Academy. She's a bit cocky about her position as a not-quite-yet police officer when she's first introduced in flashbacks in season 4, episode 6, "Live Bait". Her father was a food truck driver and her sister was a nurse.

Answer: Lilly

Lilly Chambler is Tara's older sister. At the start of the apocalypse, Tara and Lilly hung out with their father David and Lilly's daughter in an apartment complex and lived off the food in a food truck David had been driving for a living at the time of the outbreak. Lilly is played by actress Audrey Marie Anderson.

She develops a brief relationship with The Governor. After her daughter dies, however, Lilly commits suicide by allowing herself to be devoured by walkers.

Meghan Chambler is played by Meyric Murphy. She's about seven or eight years old when the apocalypse starts. She's bitten by a walker, and when Lilly carries her in her arms to the Governor, the Governor indifferently shoots her before she can reanimate.

Answer: When the Governor beheads Hershel

In season 4, episode 8, "Too Far Gone", the Governor surrounds the prison, knocks out Michonne, and takes Hershel captive. Rick tries to reason with him, but he ends up decapitating Hershel and demanding his troops open fire on the prison. That's when Tara drops her weapon on the ground and refuses to fight.

She is later haunted by guilt for her participation as part of the Governor's militia, but she does eventually become a part of Rick's group.

Answer: Magna

Magna is Yukimo's girlfriend, and because Tara died in season 9, it's not possible they will develop a relationship in a later season. Tara tells a story about a pre-aprocalypse ex-girlfriend Sam who turned out to be heterosexual and have a boyfriend. Tara develops a relationship with Alisha, a member of Martinez's camp and a soldier in the Governor's militia, in season 4. During a confrontation with Rick's camp, Alisha is shot in the head by young Lizzie Samuels. Finally, Tara develops a relationship with Denise, the psychologist turned town doctor, in Alexandria in season 6.

Answer: Orange Crush

Denise asks Daryl to find her some Orange Crush when he's on a supply run so she can give it to Tara. Later, when Denise is on another supply run with Daryl, just before she gets killed, in season 6, episode 14, she comes across some Orange Crush.

Garret was a resident of Terminus and Gregory was the head of the Hilltop for a time. Cyndie had a personal vendetta with Arat, a Savior. Tara's vendetta was with Dwight. Dwight kills Tara's girlfriend Denise, which leads her to develop a desire for vengeance against him. Dwight shoots Denise with Daryl's crossbow straight in the eye in the middle of a speech she is giving.

He was actually aiming for Daryl. Denise receives the death Abraham received in the comic books on which the show is based.

Answer: Oceanside

In season 7, episode 6, "Swear", Tara is on a supply run with Heath when they are separated by a herd of walkers. Tara falls off a bridge and is knocked unconscious. She later washes up on the shore of Oceanside, where she discovers a community of women and children whose men were slaughtered by the Saviors.

They went into hiding at an old beach camp, and they have numerous guns. They swear her to secrecy, but she eventually reveals the community's existence to Rick because Alexandria desperately needs guns to fight the Saviors.

Answer: The Hilltop

When Maggie leaves, Jesus reluctantly takes over the leadership of the Hilltop. Tara assists him and urges him to step up more. After he's killed, however, Tara becomes the leader of the Hilltop until her own death. Alexandria is led by Rick and then Michonne, while Oceanside is led by Natania then Cyndie and Rachel and the Kingdom is lead by King Ezekiel along with, later, Carol.

Answer: By decapitation

Tara is decapitated, off-screen, by Alpha in season 9, episode 15, "The Calm Before". She is one of several characters who ends up with her head on a pike marking Alpha's borders. Her reanimated form is likely put down by either Daryl, Michonne, or Yukimo, who discover the border.
