"The Shape of Things to Come" Trivia Quiz

When this episode began, Kate was seen, by herself, as she relaxed down by the beach. She saw Jack and went over to speak to him and saw that he was taking some medicine. Kate asked him what the medicine was for and Jack told her it was for his stomach.

Hurley and Sawyer were first seen, at the beginning of the episode, playing a game. In the middle of the game, Hurley commented that he felt they were all going to die and nothing would prevent it. Sawyer told Hurley that his prediction would turn out not to be true and they continued to play their game.

John Locke picked up the phone and someone, assuming it was Ben on the other hand, told him "Code 14-J." John told Sawyer about this and both of them assumed the person called for Ben. John and Sawyer went to see Ben and John asked Ben what that meant.

As soon as Ben got this, he got out his gun and told John and Sawyer to go with him to the other side of the island since the code meant one of his people was captured.

As Jack and Kate talked, they saw several people bringing a dead body to shore and out of the ocean. Jack asked if anyone knew this person and someone commented that the man was a doctor he knew when both of them were on a boat. Jack determined that the guy died when his throat was slashed.

Ben contemplated about what to do when he figured out that one of his men had been captured. In the middle of this, we saw a flash-forward of when, in October of 2005, Ben saw Sayid on a television set. Sayid was quoted, on the TV, stating that he wished to bury his wife in peace.

In the flash-forward that involved Ben and Sayid, Ben told Sayid that he saw, on the news, what happened to Sayid's wife and where Sayid was located. Right before the funeral of Sayid's wife, Ben took a picture of Sayid carrying his wife's casket but Sayid caught him. Sayid asked Ben how he got off the island and Ben said that Desmond helped him get a boat and he took the boat to Fiji and chartered a plane to find Sayid.

Ben, John, Hurley, and Sawyer made way to a home, on the island, to do battle with those who captured one of the people in Ben's team. They heard someone, at the door, and opened it to see Miles Straume. Miles told Ben that the person who was being held hostage was Alex, Ben's daughter.

The people who held Alex hostage told Ben to come out of the house or Alex would be shot dead. Ben proposed that those who were holding Alex hostage leave the island and forget about it but they refused. They counted down to ten and, during the count down, Ben said Alex was not his daughter and that he stole her from an insane woman (Alex's biological mother was Danielle Rousseau and Ben adopted her). Alex was shot dead.

Near the end of the episode, the flash-forward showed Ben right after he had his conversation with Sayid after Sayid's wife's funeral. Ben walked, through a crowd, and some man held him at gunpoint and was about to shoot him dead. Sayid shot and killed the man and saved Ben's life.
