Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What did Scully remove from Ronnie's dead body?

Answer: fake teeth

Mulder tackled Ronnie to the ground and drove a stake through his chest. When Scully caught up to them, Mulder pulled back Ronnie's lip and showed Scully the kid's vampire teeth. Scully tapped the teeth and they fell down. She pulled out the fake fangs and showed them to Mulder. Realizing what he'd done, Mulder swore: "Oh, shi..."
2. When Scully entered Mulder's office, Mulder crumpled up a piece of paper and threw it at the trash. Did he make it into the can?

Answer: no

It wasn't the first time he'd missed, either: the floor around the can was littered with crumpled up papers. This was ironic, of course, because Mulder was quite a good basketball player, and was seen playing in a number of episodes. After that last miss, Mulder went to the can and stomped on it repeatedly, bending it out of shape. He was clearly frustrated with the situation!
3. How much did Scully say the family of Ronnie Strickland could sue the FBI for?

Answer: $446 million

Scully was frustrated as well, because she knew if the family sued, she would be a co-defendant and have to account for Mulder's actions even though she disagreed with them.
4. What did Mulder tell Scully her cell mate would read a lot of?

Answer: Gertrude Stein

When Scully resisted working out a single story with Mulder to report to Skinner, Mulder tried to threaten her by saying her cell mate's name was "going to be Large Marge. She's going to read a lot of Gertrude Stein." The implication, of course, was that she'd be a big butch lesbian, and Mulder wouldn't be the only one facing sexual abuse in prison!
5. In Scully's description of Mulder, he was "characteristically _____."

Answer: exuberant

Slapping the plane ticket on the table, Mulder told Scully, "Hope you brought your cowboy boots." When Scully noted that the tickets were for Dallas, Mulder quickly shot back "Yee-haw!" He then talked Scully through the case at lightning speed, hardly letting her get a word in!
6. What did Mulder show Scully slides of?

Answer: dead cows

Mulder showed Scully slides of six dead cows, flipping through them rapidly and narrating excitedly. Scully tried to ask, "Is there any sign of --?" Before she could finish, Mulder interrupted her, completing the question: "Two small puncture wounds on the neck?" Scully protested that she "wasn't asking that." Mulder didn't care, though, and, sounding like a used car salesman, shot back, "Too bad. We got 'em. Check it out."
7. After Mulder shot down Scully's idea that the deaths were from satanic cultists, what did Scully fear Mulder was going to blame them on?

Answer: "that Mexican goat sucker thing"

Scully dryly asked, "You're not gonna tell me you think it's that Mexican goat sucker thing." Mulder corrected her, saying "El Chupacabra? No, they got four fangs, not two, and they suck goats, hence the name."
8. In Scully's version of events, after Scully and Mulder met Sheriff Hartwell, Mulder headed off to see the body calling to Scully to what?

Answer: "get those little legs moving"

Before that, Mulder had had trouble remembering Scully's name to introduce her to Hartwell. Then he called for her to follow, referring to her "little legs!" Scully followed, but was clearly embarrassed to have been treated that way in front of Hartwell.
9. In Scully's version of events, what did Mulder say upon seeing the body?

Answer: "Nice threads."

The man, on vacation in Texas, was wearing a Hawaiian shirt. Scully clearly thought Mulder was acting unprofessionally, and remembered all the little side comments he'd made throughout the case.
10. What kind of film did Scully say the killer had likely seen too many of?

Answer: Bela Lugosi movies

Mulder prompted Scully to tell Hartwell about her theory of the case, but made quotation marks with his fingers for "theory" to suggest that he didn't really believe it held any weight. Scully told Hartwell that she thought they were "looking for someone who has seen one too many Bela Lugosi movies.

He believes he is a vampire, therefore..." Hartwell picked up on Scully's thought, finishing her sentence: "They act like one." He then professed to agree with her, much to Mulder's bewilderment.
