Mulder was underneath some cardboard, naked and curled up into the fetal position, yelling, "They're here." He'd been sprayed by the Ergotimene histamine gas that Susanne Modeski had helped to develop. In small doses, of course, the gas caused anxiety paranoia in it's subject. "They're here" was also on the alien invasion booth at the convention that Mulder had seem interested in.

Answer: Detective Munch

Munch was played by Richard Belzer, who played the same character in "Law & Order" and "Homicide". Belzer himself is a conspiracy theorist, so he was a natural fit for "The X-Files".

Answer: FCC

Byers was a public affairs officer for the Federal Communications Commission. As such, he was sent to the Computer and Electronics Show in Baltimore. The other techies there called him "narc" because of his government association.

Answer: bootleg cable

Frohike pitched his product to Susanne first, and then Langly came through the partition between their booths and started pitching his own bootlegged cable service.

Answer: her daughter

She then told Byers a tear-filled story about how her ex-boyfriend had recently returned and kidnapped the girl and she needed to access a file on the internet in the hopes of getting some clue about how to get her back. Later, though, Susanne revealed that she had no daughter and the picture had come with the wallet.

She had to tell him her daughter's name was Susanne so that she could access the government files on herself, so she told Byers that her name was Holly. The two of them were at a cafeteria at the time, and Susanne had taken the name from a Holly brand sugar packet. Byers looked down at the table and noted that her name was "just like the sugar" but didn't question it.

At first he was hesitant, but after some distressed posturing from Susanne, Byers did it with very little difficulty. He found an encrypted file that they printed out and took to Frohike for help decoding.

Answer: Mulder

She saw Mulder at the convention and told Byers that he was the ex-boyfriend who'd abducted her daughter. In reality, Mulder was working the Violent Crimes Unit with the FBI.

Answer: "Your kung fu is the best."

Earlier, Frohike had told Susanne, "my kung fu is the best," trying to assure her that he could decode the pages she and Byers had printed out. When Byers and Frohike realized they needed to hack into the FBI mainframe, though, they had to turn to Langly and Frohike had to do a bit of prostrating.

Answer: Bible

Susanne was trying to convince The Lone Gunmen that there was an over-arching government conspiracy, and pulled out a Bible, pointing out that there's "one in every hotel room in America, it's the perfect vessel for electronic surveillance. No one ever questions its presence."

Answer: Susanne's dentist

When The Lone Gunmen hacked into the FBI mainframe, they read that Susanne was being "monitored around the clock" via "covert electronics installed per Dr. Michael Killborn." Susanne named him as her dentist, then excused herself and went to the bathroom. When The Lone Gunmen went to check on her, she'd pulled out her molar and showed them a small bug stuck in the root.

Answer: asthma inhalers

When they got to the warehouse, they found boxes full of asthma dispensers. Then Mulder arrived, followed by a couple of other men in black suits who proceeded to shoot the place up, effectively dousing Mulder in the chemical.

Answer: no

Though X had The Lone Gunmen kneel down and then held a gun to Byers' head and pulled the trigger, there wasn't a bullet and Byers wasn't hurt. Byers realized X was simply trying to intimidate them into being quiet, which ultimately would prove unsuccessful.

Susanne ditched Mulder's car at the train station and then went to The Baltimore Guardian. However, they apparently didn't believe a word of her story.

Answer: no

As The Lone Gunmen were talking to her on a street, a pay phone started ringing. She encouraged them, "No matter how paranoid you are, you're not paranoid enough. Tell the truth. Reach as many people as you can with it. That's your weapon." Then she hurried off past the phone and down the street. Before she could get very far, though, a black car blocked her and she was pushed into it by some men in suits.

As the car drove by, the Gunmen could see X through the window.
