Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the Brothers Bear reveals the location of the 'Lost World' of Krematoa?

Answer: Blunder

Blunder the Bear, found due west of Kremwood Forest, can be visited quite early on in the game (right after completing the aforementioned second stage). While Blunder doesn't really ask anything of the Kongs or give any items, he will be cryptic about the presence of a 'Lost World' somewhere in the game and give more hints the further along the Kongs go in the course of their adventure.

When they beat King K. Rool however, he'll give the location to them directly.
2. Which vehicle is needed to access Krematoa?

Answer: Hover Craft

While the Motor Boat is needed to access the first two stages of the game, only the Hover Craft, created using a single bandage received after completing Kremwood Forest's boss, Arich, is required to get to Krematoa. This is because the stage is found in the same region as Cotton-Top Cove and K3. To access it, you need to drive around the inconspicuous rocks south of the waterfall heading north a few times and voila! Krematoa will be yours to visit, as early as stage three!
3. What is the name of the Brother Bear found in Krematoa?

Answer: Boomer

Boomer, somehow, has already made residence in Krematoa despite it having rested on the bottom of the lake for however long before Dixie and Kiddy brought it to the surface. To reach him, you don't need to do much; his place of business is straight onward from the entrance to the stage, and he'll be willing to help...for a cost. Coincidentally, you don't need to do anything special to find Wrinkly in this area either; her save cave is due east of Boomer's lodge.
4. Which of these collectibles must be spent to access levels in Krematoa?

Answer: Bonus Coins

Boomer will come in handy, perhaps moreso than his Brother Bear relatives, because he'll end up allowing you to access the levels found throughout Krematoa, though at a cost. It costs fifteen Bonus Coins to break apart each pile of rocks separating the levels, making a total of seventy-five Bonus Barrels and additional coins (ie. from boss battles) found around the game (plus an additional ten!).

This is virtually the same cost as the levels found in the Lost World of "Donkey Kong Country 2", though you would use Kremcoins in that instance.
5. What animal companion does not appear in Stampede Sprint?

Answer: Enguarde

Stamped Sprint is accessed with the first fifteen Bonus Coins, and in this level it's all about the animals. Squitter and Squawks will appear in Bonus Barrels at the very beginning of the level while the bulk will be played as Ellie (and with Parry).

In this particular level, you're sent on a rampage when Ellie is scared by a trio of rats, forced to run headlong through the level all the way until the end (at which point, if Parry is alive, he'll turn into a Bonus Barrel).
6. What is the main means by which the Kongs will ascend Criss Kross Cliffs?

Answer: Barrels

In Criss Kross Cliffs, the Kongs will start the level at the bottom of a rocky crevasse, needing to reach the very top by jumping on steel kegs shot from a pit below. Throughout the level, they'll have the opportunity to clear paths using Switch Barrels (transforming the steel kegs into TNT Barrels and vice versa).

This level is similar to some in the factory-driven sections of the game in which jumping on barrels is key to crossing large gaps. The only difference is that the continuous stream of barrels is the only one, and the only way up.
7. In Tyrant Twin Tussle, there is no way to defeat the charging Kuff 'n' Klout enemies.

Answer: False

While Kuff 'n' Klout is one of the strongest enemy types in the game due to their inability to be defeated directly by either Dixie or the hulking Kiddy Kong, they can be brought down by one of two means-- Squitter the Spider's webbing or TNT Barrels. Luckily, both are in supply in this third level. Squitter can actually be found early on after a couple of enemies have been passed (though you have to search up in the cave ceiling to get him.

This level needs forty-five Bonus Coins to access.
8. Which of these is a level found in Krematoa?

Answer: Swoopy Salvo

Swoopy Salvo is the fourth of five levels found in Krematoa, and considering the pattern, you need sixty Bonus Coins paid up to Boomer to get to it. Taking place in one of the giant trees first seen in Kremwood Forest, the level begins with Squawks the Parrot in the starring role but ends with the Kongs ascending to the top. Either way, this is the only level in the game to feature swooping birds known as Swoopies, which will cross through holes in the trees to make things difficult.
9. Which of these barrels appears for the first time in Rocket Rush?

Answer: Fuel Barrels

Costing a final twenty-five Bonus Coins (for a total of eighty-five) to access, Rocket Rush is the final platforming level of "Donkey Kong Country 3", and it takes Dixie and Kiddy to a final cliff level for an interesting experience. This is the only part of the game to feature the Barrel Rocket, a large rocket designed to carry the Kongs through the level, first descending through a maze of rock walls and red Buzzes, and then, at the bottom, jetting them up a second pathway lined with bananas...at least while they still have fuel.
10. What is the name of K. Rool's submersible ship found in Krematoa?

Answer: Knautilus

After collecting five cogs from around Krematoa and assembling them in a machine in Boomer's shack, you'll allow for access to a bridge in the center of Krematoa's crater leading to K. Rool's submersible ship, the Knautilus. Here, the actual final battle will commence in which K. Rool will launch all manner of annoying tactics from electricity shots to lava bombs to floating around the arena and making moving conveyor belts.

When he's hit enough, however, the battle will end and the game will be over...provided you have all the Banana Birds...
