Question 1 of 10
1. The members of the 'Funtrivia Regulars' group sit down in front of the TV. Littered on the floor are many games and systems; some of which haven't even been heard of by many. Everyone ends up picking up an Xbox controller except Kyle. Instead, Kyle has picked up a 'Wavebird' controller. What system is this controller used on? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. After deciding to play the XBOX, Qrayx, Kyle, KvK, and SFA have to choose a game. They all choose their favorite game and argue which one would be played first. Qrayx, however, chooses a game that can't even be played on the XBOX, taking it out of the running before the argument even begins. Which of the following games did Qrayx choose? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. After taking the game out of the system, KvK asks, "Why not play a hardcore fighting game?". He shows Qrayx, SFA and Kyle the game, but instantly they respond, "Which system?" After all, the game that he chose can be played on three different systems, with each one having a system-specific character. Which fighting game are they talking about?

Answer: (For the Gamecube, Xbox, and Playstation 2)
Question 4 of 10
4. Everyone decided to switch systems. It turned out they all wanted to play something different. Qrayx wanted to play N64, KvK wanted to play Playstation, Kyle wanted to play SNES and SFA wanted to play "Runescape". What system is "Runescape" played on? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. "Pah!" Kyle said. "What we need is a good, fun party game, free of swords, magic, and quests." Kyle pulled out the Nintendo 64 controllers and popped in one of the "Mario" games lying on the floor. Which is not a possible game that all four players could participate in (at once) on this system? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. "Let's play 'Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance'!" shouted KvK. They ran to the PS2, but he was the last one there. Since the game only can use three players, KvK just sat down to watch. With nothing to do now other than watch he quickly pulls out a PSP. What can the PSP do that the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube can't? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Qrayx's favorite series is "Star Wars", and he realizes that they have not yet looked at anything related to the series. Qrayx hands his controller to KvK and starts his search. Qrayx knows that on every "Star Wars" game, he can find the same symbol; the symbol of the developing company. What company are most "Star Wars" games made by? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. After getting bored of most other games, the group thought of what to do. "Let's play a puzzle game!" KvK shouted. Even though most puzzles games aren't multiplayer, the group could have fun trying to break each other's records. They scanned the game section and found one. "Dr. Mario?" the group wondered. "Oh yeah!" Kyle said, "That game was the "Mario" version of another popular arcade game!" What game is it a version of? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. After the group was done with the last game, SFA scanned the Gamecube games for something in particular, unknown to Kyle, Qrayx and KvK, who waited for him to choose. "Here we go. I haven't played so amazingly all day, so I'll pick a game I'm only just a little bit better at," SFA said with a rare type of sarcasm that was revealed to the other three when he pulled out a game he was practically famous for, "Star Fox Assault". When a game had begun, SFA was quite difficult to inflict damage on compared to the others, because of his character's special ability that provides two barriers that respawn after death instead of the usual one. Which of the playable characters is SFA using? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. It's time to wrap things up. The Game Boys are running out of batteries, and our eyes are getting too red to watch the screens any more. A final game is decided upon by all four of the players in the 'Funtrivia Regulars' First Game Night, and it's a toughie. The players competed against each other in the Monkey, Chimp, and Gorilla difficulties of which game? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: Gamecube

Gamecube was one of the first systems to be released with the wireless controller, but now, many systems include them in the purchase including the Xbox 360. Unlike a regular Gamecube controller, the Wavebird requires batteries and it has no rumble feature. If you know that your AA batteries are going to run out soon, replace them; the game doesn't pause when the controller loses power. You can have up to four wireless controllers plugged into the console, but they must all be set to a different channel.

Answer: Super Smash Bros. Melee

"Super Smash Bros Melee" was in the first wave of Gamecube games. It followed the game style from "Super Smash Bros" for the Nintendo 64. The "Super Smash Bros" series took characters from a wide variety of Nintendo games and equalized their strengths so they could fight one another as equals instead of, say, super-humans with a vast array of weapons against a plumber that can shoot fire out of his hands. In both games there are a variety of characters to fight as and arenas to fight in. Also, both games support up to four players at one time, making it perfect for quick games at parties and other gatherings.

Answer: Soul Calibur 2

"Soul Calibur 2" was the first fighting game released for all systems during its time (Gamecube, Xbox, and Playstation 2). Each system has it's own variable player for each system, which may confuse players over which systems to buy it for.
The three different characters in each game are Link for the Gamecube, Spawn for the XBOX, and Heihachi for the PS2.

4. Everyone decided to switch systems. It turned out they all wanted to play something different. Qrayx wanted to play N64, KvK wanted to play Playstation, Kyle wanted to play SNES and SFA wanted to play "Runescape". What system is "Runescape" played on?

Answer: PC

"Runescape" is actually an online game, an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) to be precise. It has a medieval feel, this ranging from the environments to the quests to the weapons, which include many melee weapons, and also magic and ranged weapons.

Answer: Super Mario 64

Sure, all of these games are played on the Nintendo 64, but only three can include all four players. "Super Mario 64" was one of the first titles released on the Nintendo 64, and it only involved one player. Soon after, "Mario Kart 64" was released, and players could race in Grand Prix, Battles, and Vs. Matches.
Three "Mario Party" games were also released for the Nintendo 64, and many were released on future systems. All of the "Mario Party" games were filled with fun mini-games which you could compete in. It was like a video game and a board game in one!
Finally, "Mario Tennis" was released, and players could compete in single tournaments, 1-on-1 tournaments, and doubles (2-on-2) tournaments.

With nothing to do now other than watch he quickly pulls out a PSP. What can the PSP do that the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube can't?

Answer: Use a web browser

The Sony PSP was the first system to release a web browser. Unlike the DS' WiFi, it can hook up to the real Internet and you can spend your time surfing on it. It can do all the other things (like play movies, music, etc), but other systems can do that too (although some systems require special hardware to do so).

Qrayx knows that on every "Star Wars" game, he can find the same symbol; the symbol of the developing company. What company are most "Star Wars" games made by?

Answer: Lucasarts

The Lucasarts logo, The Golden Guy, was first introduced in 1991. All "Star Wars" games are made by Lucasarts, and therefore, you will always see the logo on the case, and in the opening cinematic of the game. Some games just flash the logo before bringing the player the main menu, while in others, animators had fun by creating a cartoon style intro for the logo.

Answer: Tetris

"Dr. Mario" is almost exactly the same as "Tetris". It has a few different features including trying to destroy germs by trapping them between rows. Also most of the blocks are pills. Not only is this game a famous arcade game, but "Dr. Mario" was released on the NES, SNES, GB, and GBA. There was even a sequel called "Dr. Mario 64" for the Nintendo 64!

When a game had begun, SFA was quite difficult to inflict damage on compared to the others, because of his character's special ability that provides two barriers that respawn after death instead of the usual one. Which of the playable characters is SFA using?

Answer: Krystal

Fox, Falco and Wolf (Wolf being a hidden character) rely more on their stats to get by, so they don't have special abilities. On the other hand, there's Slippy with rather average stats and the special ability to charge up the Blaster twice as fast as normal. Peppy (also hidden) has pretty sub-par stats but can charge up the Blaster four times as fast as normal. Krystal, as mentioned before, gets two barriers to work with upon respawn when she dies, while everyone else only gets one.
Another fun fact is that if you looked at SFA's profile on his memory card, you'll find that in multiplayer, he's played quite a few games, but still hasn't used anyone but Krystal. :p

Answer: Donkey Konga

For their last game, Kyle, SFA, Qrayx, and KvK took out their bongos, and drummed to songs like "Rock Lobster", "Dancing in the Streets", and even "Hungarian Dance No.5 (In Gm)". In this game, the four could also have played different purchasable mini-games instead of battling each other head to head in a drumming competition. Other than "Donkey Konga", teams could have played its two sequels on the Gamecube or "Donkey Kong Jungle Beat" with the DK Bongos. Although they had enough bongos for everyone, they could've also used their regular controllers.
Well, now that everything's over, the games are put away, the cords are wrapped around the controllers, and the systems are turned off. Next time they gather for a new game night, they'll each have new stories, games, and more practice. Most importantly, there'll also be new competition.
