The game was unique, that is really the story behind it. There are 120 levels, and on each level, the player must guide a group of up to 100 lemmings home by giving lemmings various commands. The lemmings are small, green-haired creatures that robotically walk together into any danger. The game was very popular and addictive and spawned many sequels, the most notable being "Lemmings 2".

The game was a big step in the future of animation in games. The motion capture was not as we know it today. In fact, the method by which the motion was captured was by a method called rotoscoping. In rotoscoping, animators trace live action movement frame by frame for use in animations, mainly cartoons. Also, the game was unique, as it featured swords as the only weapons, as opposed to guns, and arrows seen so abundantly in 1992.

"Doom" was truly the most revolutionary of all first-person shooters. It featured a dark, disturbing theme, as well as some of the greatest sound effects to known to man, at the time. Doors hissed, creatures gnarled, and guns sounded heavily engaging.

Although the game was not the most popular game of 1993, it was a very clever game, masterfully blending the future theme with RPG elements to make yourself the strongest power. The rewards for victories were unparalleled, as you were awarded with new weapons, and technologies to unleash upon the competition.

The true meat of the game, obviously lay in its challenging, and inspired mission structure.

The execution of the gameplay, in relation to its comedic ideas was the true reason for its success. Lots of clever puzzles littered throughout the game helped the player in their quest to find the creature. Its comedic nature that never fails to entertain, makes this game a true gaming gem.

As mentioned before, "NHL 94" was the first to add four player support, and one-timers. It remains one of the fastest, most addictive hockey games out there. Most developers try to live up to the style of the game, but none have matched it yet. "NHL 06" by EA Sports, is the closest as it does actually include the full version of its 1993 hit within the game.
