Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Near the eastern border of Feralas, what is the name of the only Horde outpost in the zone?

Answer: Camp Mojache

Players entering Feralas from the east will find themselves trekking up a path in the Lower Wilds which will take them through the heart of the village known as Camp Mojache. This town will be the only Pit Stop for Horde players in the area as the remaining locales are strictly Alliance-based.

Here, a flightpath can be implemented and a number of local quests for players from level 45-55 can be completed in the surrounding jungle. Additionally, there are Herbalism and Alchemy trainers located on one side of the bridge in the center of town and an inn in the largest building in the west end.

The town sits between the Lower Wilds and The Writhing Deep.
2. What Alliance city is home to Kylanna Windwhisper?

Answer: Feathermoon Stronghold

Found on the northernmost island off the coast of Feralas, Feathermoon Stronghold is the largest Alliance area in the zone (though it's not the only one). Players can hop on a boat from the coast to take them directly to the city, but it's possible to swim straight over (or, if you can, walk on water). Mainly for Night Elves, players will find a whole bunch of trainers in this town including Master Alchemist, Kylanna Windwhisper.

In addition, a number of quest-givers are located in this town for the western half of Feralas.

This is one of the western-most hubs for flightpath travel in the game.
3. Thalanaar contains a flightpath location.

Answer: True

This small Alliance outpost may not look like much, but a number of its quests directly affect players heading into the zone from the east. Literally situated on the border of Feralas, this small location contains a waterwell required for a Thousand Needles quest from Whitereach Post and it also contains a flightpath, the only one for Alliance players from that point to Gadgetzan. Thalanaar is home to Night Elves and it's directly adjacent to the Lower Wilds which contains some of the less dangerous creatures in the zone.

The only trainer found in this outpost is a Leatherworker; the area doesn't even contain an inn or Hearthstone location.
4. Gordunni Outpost is occupied by which of these?

Answer: Ogres

Gordunni Outpost is north of both Lariss Pavilion and Camp Mojache. Found in the hills in the north of Feralas, this Ogre outpost is home to a number of earlier pre-level 45 quests for Horde players. For example, finding Gordunni Cobalts buried in the camps in the hills is one of the quests located in this area, and killing a certain amount of each Gordunni type (Ogre, Ogre Mage, etc.) will finish a quest.

There is no direct path to the Gordunni camp; players will need to head into the wilderness (populated by bears and wolves) on a hike to reach the mountain outpost.
5. For Horde players, Witch Doctor Uzer'i will ask you to collect Muisek spirits. Which type of creature will not result in one of these?

Answer: Woodpaw Alpha

This rather extensive quest chain takes players from Witch Doctor Uzer'i in Camp Mojache and requires that they use a Muisek device to trap spirits and return them for a rather helpful cause. The chain begins with the 'Testing the Vessel' quest taking you all the way over to The Hinterlands to kill Primitive Owlbeasts for their souls.

When you return these, you can continue onwards obtaining the Muiseks of Frayfrather Hippogryphs, Sprite Dragons, Sprite Darters, Wandering Forest Walkers, Land Walkers, and Cliff Giants.

When this and the 'Natural Materials' quest are complete, this Witch Doctor will reclaim his tools and give you rather good weapons for the level 45-55 range based on the spirits you captured. He offers two axes, a staff, and a mace.
6. What are 'The Twin Colossals'?

Answer: Mountains

The Twin Colossals is a large region to the northwest end of Feralas containing two quite prominent mountains. Nestled between a number of regions (including the Ruins of Razorwind to the edge of the map populated by Harpies), these two mountains are surrounded by Ogres large hulking beasts. If you speak to an NPC near the dock to Feathermoon Stronghold, you'll eventually receive a shrinking device that will transform these regularly elite monsters into more manageable enemies that you can extract materials from. Players attempting to scale either of the Twin Colossals are up for a tough climb. Only one of the two hills can be ascended.
7. Dream Bough can be found in the north end of Feralas. What other zone contains a similar area featuring green Dragons?

Answer: The Hinterlands

Green Dragons are typically dominant over nature, and their presence in Feralas is fairly just. Found in the elite area known as Dream Bough (guarded by level 60 creatures), the enemies found here include Dreamroarer and Lethalas though Nightmare Dragons have been known to randomly spawn here as well.

The Emerald Dream, an area accessed from Dream Bough and its Hinterlands counterpart, Seradane, can also be reached from portals in Duskwood, Ashenvale, and Crystalsong Forest, though they can be just as difficult to barge into.
8. What is the largest island off the coast of Feralas?

Answer: Isle of Dread

Directly south of Feathermoon Stronghold and Sardor Isle, the Isle of Dread stretches quite far south down along the western coast of Feralas. Here, players will encounter elite Chimera creatures which are quite beyond the level range for the rest of the zone. Because most of the island is surrounded by large cliffs, players must enter the area from the north. Players trying to obtain The Scepter of the Shifting Sands to enter the Ruins and Temple of Ahn'Qiraj will need to make a pit stop at the Isle of Dread to defeat Lord Lakmaeran, a lightning-attuned Chimera boss at level 62.
9. Feralas is connected to only two zones: Desolace and which other area?

Answer: Thousand Needles

While Desolace can be reached by heading north, players can reach Thousand Needles by heading east past Camp Mojache. Both Thousand Needles and Desolace are much lower-leveled areas than Feralas though. While Feralas covers level 40 to 50, Desolace is ten levels less and Thousand Needles is ten levels less than that. All three of these areas are contested though Thousand Needles has no Alliance flightpath locations or friendly towns. Freewind Post, the only actual outpost in this otherwise barren mesa, is Horde-only. Continuing along the path, the first Alliance location (it's actually neutrally-run by goblins) would be Gadgetzan in Tanaris.
10. Dire Maul was released as an instance with "Burning Crusade".

Answer: False

Dire Maul has been an instance since day 1...well...it was added through an early patch, but nonetheless, players do not need "Burning Crusade" or other expansions to venture into this ruined city. Containing a number of ogres and other angry denizens, players will need to be around level 55-60 to be quite successful here, and because of this it's one of the latest instances in the game for players without expansions.

In a preferred party of five, players can travel through three different areas found within Dire Maul though numerous level 60 elite bosses will block the way to the end.

There are man, many different boss enemies to encounter, and the loot dropped is quite popular. A key is needed to open the North and West wings of the instance.
