1. Jessica Fox
Jessica Fox, born in Marseille, France, in 1994, is a dual citizen of Australia and France. She won gold in the C1 slalom at Tokyo 2020, as well as silver (K1) at London 2012 and bronze (K1) at Rio 2016. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Fox added another remarkable chapter to her career. 6. Matthew Ebden
Matthew Ebden, born in Perth in 1987, is a professional tennis player. Specialising in doubles in his later years, Ebden has won several titles on the ATP Tour, including the 2022 Wimbledon Men's Doubles Championship with Max Purcell and the 2024 Australian Open with India's Rohan Bopanna.
He also won the mixed doubles at the 2013 Australian Open with Australian Jarmila Gajdosová. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, he competed in the men's doubles alongside John Peers. The Australian duo reached the final with five consecutive straight-set wins, where they beat Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram (USA) in three sets 6-7, 7-6, 10-8.
7. Grace Brown
Born in Camperdown, Victoria, in 1992, Grace Brown is a professional road cyclist known for her strength in time trials and hilly one-day races. She had represented Australia at several world championships with notable victories in prestigious races such as the Brabantse Pijl and stages of the Giro Donne.
She won the silver medal in the individual time trial at the 2022 UCI Road World Championships. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she excelled in the women's individual time trial, securing the gold medal.
She completed the course in 39:38.24, more than 1:30 ahead of her rivals. The silver medal went to Anna Henderson of Great Britain, while the bronze went to Chloé Dygert (USA).
8. Penny Smith
Penny Smith, born in Geelong, Victoria, in 1995, is a sports shooter specialising in trap events. She has represented Australia at international competitions and won a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the women's trap pairs event; plus podium finishes at World Cups.
At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she competed in the women's trap event and won the bronze medal. She hit 32 targets in the final. Gold went to Adriana Ruano of Guatemala and silver to Italian shooter Silvana Stanco.
9. Charlie Senior
Born in Bradford, England in 2001, Charlie Senior emigrated to Perth, Western Australia at the age of two. Initially a dancer, he switched to boxing at the age of eleven. He won three national junior championships and the Australian amateur title and then represented Australia at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, although his run ended in the round of 16.
In 2023, he won the gold medal at the Pacific Games in Honiara, which qualified him for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Competing in the 57kg featherweight division at the Paris Olympics, he won a bronze medal.
He defeated Vasile Usturoi (Belgium) in the round of 16 and followed that up with a win over Carlo Paalam (Philippines) in the quarter-finals. His journey ended in the semi-finals where he lost to Abdumalik Khalokov of Uzbekistan.
10. Maddison Keeney
Maddison Keeney was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1996 and grew up in Perth WA. She made her Olympic debut at Rio 2016, winning a bronze medal in the 3m springboard synchronised event. She had won multiple gold, silver and bronze medals at various World Championships.
At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she competed in the 3m individual springboard and scored consistently high on all her dives to secure the silver medal, behind Chen Yiwen from China.
