1. Marta Maggetti
Marta Maggetti, born in 1996 in Cagliari, Sardinia, is an Italian windsurfer who specialised in the iQFoil class. She started her international career in youth windsurfing and won the RS:X Youth World Championship title in 2013. She won a gold medal at the 2022 iQFoil World Championships in Brest.

5. Antonino Pizzolato
Antonino Pizzolato, born in 1996 in Castelvetrano, Sicily, is weightlifter competing in the 89kg category. He is a three-time European champion, having won the titles in 2019, 2021 and 2022, and also won a World Championship bronze medal in 2017. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, he lifted 172 kg in the snatch, placing him in fourth going into the clean and jerk.
In the final phase, he successfully lifted 212 kg, securing a combined total of 383 kg, which earned him the bronze medal.
6. Thomas Ceccon
Born in Thiene in 2001, Thomas Ceccon won multiple medals in both the long-course and short-course World Championships in 2021, 2022 and 2023. In 2022, he broke the 100m backstroke world record at the World Championships with in a time of 51.60 seconds.
At the Paris 2024 Olympics, he won the gold medal in the 100m backstroke with a time of 52.00 seconds. He also helped Italy to a silver medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay.
7. Simone Alessio
Born in Livorno in 2000, Simone Alessio made history at the 2019 World Championships when he became the first Italian male athlete to win a world title in taekwondo, winning gold in the men's 74kg category. He repeated this success in the 80kg category in 2023.
At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, he competed in the 80kg category. After a shock loss to Iran's Mehran Barkhordari in the quarter-finals, Alessio battled his way through the repechage to the bronze medal bout., where he narrowly defeated Carl Nickolas (USA).
8. Chiara Consonni
Born in Ponte San Pietro in 1999, Chiara Consonni had won numerous European and World Championships, in the team pursuit and madison events. On the road, Consonni gained recognition for her stage wins in high-profile races, including the Giro Donne. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she competed in both the madison and pursuit events. Alongside her teammate Vittoria Guazzini she secured the gold medal in the Madison, surprisingly beating Neah Evans and Elinor Barker of Great Britain.
She was also part of the Italian pursuit team that lost to Great Britain in the bronze medal final.
9. Sara Errani
Born in Bologna, Italy in 1987, Sara Errani reached a career-high singles ranking of world number 5 in 2013. She was a five-time Grand Slam doubles champion, with titles in all four majors, and was part of the dominant partnership with Roberta Vinci. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, she competed in the women's doubles event, partnering with Jasmine Paolini.

10. Filippo Macchi
Filippo Macchi, born in Pontedera in 2001, is a fencing athlete specialising in foil. He won several junior championship medals and, at senior level, he continued to establish himself with podium finishes at World Cup events and winning both the individual and team titles at the 2023 European Championships.
At Paris 2024, he competed in both the individual and team foil events. In the individual competition, he narrowly lost the final to Cheung Ka Long (Hong Kong) 15-14. In the team event, the Italian team lost 45-36 to Japan, giving Macchi his second silver medal.
