1. In the opening scene, who was jogging with Michael?

Answer: Jane Mancini

In the opening scene, Michael and Jane were seen jogging through downtown Los Angeles, and they both decided to race each other back to the apartment complex. They passed by many stores, including a restaurant, and Jane was seen beating Michael, in their race, before the camera cut to the apartment complex. Jane ended up winning their race.
2. Allison's coworker gave her what, at the beginning of the episode?

Answer: Donut

Allison went to work at D&D Advertising, and one of her coworkers surprised her with a donut. Allison asked him why he felt this was such a big deal and he said it was not just any donut but a double glazed honey donut from a certain donut shop. Allison believed her coworker was psychic since she was in need of a sugar rush, at that time, and her coworker gave her something with a lot of sugar.
3. Jake was first seen applying for a job at what kind of establishment?

Answer: Coffee shop

Jake went to a coffee shop in Los Angeles to look for work, and he asked to speak to the manager. He told the manager about how he saw the help wanted ad, in the newspaper, and asked him if he had any work for him. The manager informed Jake he was not looking to hire someone with a second career so Jake assured him he did not have a second career.

The manager hired Jake to work at the café.
4. Allison's coworker told her that one could tell a lot by how a person does what activity?

Answer: Packing a lunch

Allison spent her lunch hour with her coworker that gave her a donut (for more, see Interesting Info for question two), and they talked. Her coworker said you could tell a lot about a person by the way they packed their lunch. He told her that she had celery with peanut butter and that the peanut butter showed she was impulsive and her grapes showed she was conscious of her diet.
5. Who asked Matt if he/she could volunteer at the place where he worked?

Answer: Rhonda Blair

Matt saw Rhonda moaning about bills and he told her to stop whining and she asked him what was wrong. He told her that the halfway house, where he worked, got cuts in its funding and he would have to rely on volunteers to help with day to day operations. Rhonda asked him if she could volunteer and he told her it would be a bad idea but she convinced him to change his mind.
6. Who complained that someone stole his/her idea?

Answer: Allison Parker

Allison spoke to her coworker and she chided him for stealing an idea she had for some work at D&D Advertising. Allison called him some choice names, such as "weasel" and "thief", but her coworker assured her he did not steal anything. He said that idea floated around, all the time, and they all got ideas from somewhere so he did not consider it stealing.
7. Jake quit his job, in this episode.

Answer: True

In this episode, Jake's boss was giving him a hard time and being picky, with him, and Jake told him he should not have to deal with what he considered to be nonsense. He took off his apron and told his boss he would not put up with nonsense while being paid just five dollars an hour. He officially quit and called a friend to come pick him up.
8. Rhonda argued with whom, by the pool?

Answer: Matt Fielding

Matt was swimming in the pool and Rhonda came up and told him they had to talk about her deal to help volunteer at Matt's place of employment. Matt said there was nothing to talk about since she let him down and did not volunteer. They started to argue and Rhonda assured Matt that she meant well but he told her she was self absorbed.
9. Near the end of the episode, Allison's coworker got them what kind of food?

Answer: Chinese

As the episode reached its end, Allison's coworker, the one she accused of taking her idea, came in to her office and said he got them both some Chinese food since he figured they should eat while they work. Allison accused him of trying to soften, to her, with food but he told her he just thought she might be hungry. Allison credited her coworker with showing her what four years of college did not teach her and that was how to get ahead in business.
10. Who said he was doing the work of five people?

Answer: Matt Fielding

Near the end of the episode, Allison was preparing to go off to work and she saw Matt right outside her apartment. She told Matt he looked down and like he was not doing well and he commented that, due to budget cutbacks, he was now doing the work of five people.

She assumed Matt loved his work and Matt said he was more dedicated than loving, to his work, and his high dedication to his job meant he pretty much did not have a life anymore.
