When Morticia and Melancholia appear at the top of the stairs, Mr. Harvey says to Gomez that he recognizes Morticia but doesn't know who the other woman is. Gomez quickly says that's Melancholia - Mr. Harvey's date for the evening. Mr. Harvey promptly passes out.

When he wakes up, Melancholia is attending to him and he runs out of the house.

Mr. Harvey finally is able to finish the reason he came to the Addams house. Oil was discovered on Gomez's game preserve in Nairobi and a client wants to put one oil well on it. (You know, the game preserve with the underground bat caves.) Gomez decides he needs to think about it - he does owe something to the bats. Mr. Harvey just wants one little tiny well.

Morticia tells Gomez to give Mr. Harvey what he wants and begins to talk about how romantic Nairobi is. She talks about the nights with the hyenas howling and how it would be a perfect spot for a honeymoon.

Mr. Harvey's train of thought is jolted and asks whose honeymoon she was talking about, and that's when the discussion goes off the rails. Gomez offers to sign the paperwork and everyone thinks Mr. Harvey had proposed and Melancholia accepted.

It was beginning to seem that the Addamses had trapped Mr. Harvey when someone was at the door. It was Fred, Melancholia's fiance! He never did join the Foreign Legion - he joined the American Legion. And he took back the ring because it was making her hand turn green (he bought he a nice brass ring instead). Melancholia introduced the two men and Fred decided he had to fight for Melancholia, so he punched Mr. Harvey.

Morticia and Gomez apologized, and Morticia added that Mr. Harvey needn't worry because she had a lot of other cousins.

In the end, we find out Mr. Harvey joined the Foreign Legion himself.
